I LOVE the first of a new month!🥇📅

It's like a mini-fresh start! Especially when it falls on a Monday!💫

And July is a great month! Holidays start happening, the sun should be shining ☀️more and the doors and windows are thrown open, filling my office with fresh air while I work - I love it!😎

July is all about getting straight over here at Lime HQ - we work flexibly and that means we front-load our Summer work so that our associates all get a much needed break, but also so our clients can be happy that everything is ship-shape before their own holidays too. ☺️We find that our clients love the way we manage Summer so that they can relax and unwind when they are not with their own clients too.

So...with that, I'm off to a day of meetings to plan the next 3 weeks of activity!💻📞🗣️📃✅

Wondering what you should be focusing on this week to give your business a pre-Summer holidays boost?💯

Well if your socials are falling flat, here's some of our top tips to get your platforms optimised:

🤳Add a series of stories explaining your products and services to your Instagram and then creating a ‘work with me’ highlight to save them in;

🛒 List your offerings in your LinkedIn bio and include links to your checkout pages;

📷 Don’t waste your cover photo spaces on any of your social media platforms – use that space to promote your latest offering / event or download. It’s a great way to get your customers looking at the relevant content to them as soon as they land on your profile. You can even add a link in the comments section of your Facebook cover photo to help people link to your latest offering and add a relevant call to action button beneath it too;

👩Get your social media profile pictures consistent across all of your platforms – it can help brand recognition when your audience see your content in new places. If you run a service-based business a photo of you looking eyes to camera is always a good idea – it helps build connection with your potential clients – but add a logo behind you for impact! If you run a product-based business, a logo might work better for you – keep it clear, and central to the image;
💻 Review the tabs you have on your page – are you using the right ones for you? Are there any you’re missing? For example, do you have a Groups tab showing but no active group – you can deselect this tab in your settings. While you’re in the settings list decide whether you need to add an events tab – set your seasonal sales, Facebook lives and any webinars or networking events you are attending or speaking at as events to help your audience know where they can find out and what is coming up next.

I'll start - I have a proposal for an integrated marketing campaign for a new product launch to pull together for a client - it's the top of my to do list! 📃

Just an early heads up.... we close our books to new clients in mid July for the Summer... it's one of the things I promised myself I would always do, no matter how busy the business gets.🤩

It's part of 'walking our talk' - I run a fully inclusive and flexible business and lots of my team (and clients) are parents who juggle 🤹‍♀️an insane amount over the Summer.

We support our existing clients all through the year, including the Summer holidays by planning our workload 📃💻and ensuring that our clients get what they need before they take more downtime too.🏖️

But, setting up new clients isn't something we do over the Summer - our team are in the middle of planning for their own juggle, and onboarding clients needs time - for us and the client - and being frank, our clients don't want that over the Summer either.

Happy Pride Month!

As a woman, a mum, a business owner, a friend and a daughter I have so many reasons why I love that Pride 🏳️‍🌈 exists!

No one should have to feel brave about discussing their sexuality. Inclusivity has a heck of a long way to go but I love that we are starting to focus on acceptance and pride in who we all are. 🥰

I haven't written lots of Pride posts and when I discussed whether we should with my team, we realised that for us, inclusivity is at the core of who we are and what we do every single day. 🤝

We all work flexibly for our own personal reasons. Between our team and our client base, some of us are LGBTQ+, some are disabled, some are carers, some are younger and some are older.

❌ We are 100% clear that we do not tolerate prejudice - in our team and in our client base - and I have absolutely stopped working relationships where I have seen prejudice and discrimination occurring.

We walk the walk when it comes to acceptance - if you know me personally, you'll know just how important this is to me - and I love that the people I surround myself with every day feel the same way! 🏳️‍🌈 🤝 🥰

Most of our clients are pretty surprised when we tell them we'll be updating Google Business each week for them as they had no idea it was useful for anything other than getting 'on the map' or collecting reviews.🤷‍♀️

One thing about Lime is that we don't plan 'big' work things for during the school holidays!❌

Not solely because we work flexibly, but because, for the most part, our clients (including our Lime Lounge cohort) also want less on their plate when their children are at home. Most of our clients don't want meetings, or mentoring during the holidays because they are juggling work and home at these times🤹‍♀️(and they are doing it very skilfully, might we add!).

That doesn't mean that nothing happens though - the beauty of Lime is that we schedule and complete work ahead of time 📈📈so that social media posts still happen for everyone's platforms, their e-mail marketing, podcast promotion or SEO is all still happening while our clients take a break.

Wow! Honestly last weekend was soooo needed!🤗

Hubby and I treated ourselves to a rare weekend away - just the two of us 🤗 - after the busiest 12 months ever!

I LOVE running my business and how it fits around my family (which is super important for me and for my team of 'flexperts') and part of the reason I am self employed is to be able to take a break when I need (or want!) one.

But, does anyone else find that they just don't take that time out? 🤷‍♀️

For the kids - sure, for family - absolutely...but just for me. Time for me and hubby always seems to take a back seat. 🤔😔

So we went to Santorini - and it was blissful! 😊

I feel relaxed and joyful - but also energised and ready for the next phase of Lime📈. A break did me the world of good - must take one more often😜!

When did you last indulge in a break just because you wanted one?

I love May for lots of reasons - sunnier weather, lighter evenings, closer to my Summer holiday...but the fact it has 2 Bank Holiday Mondays 🙌 🙌 is right up there in terms of it being a great month!

I'm signing off for a mini break with hubby - and we're heading abroad to 'guarantee' some sunny weather!
