A familiar guitar in for a quick restring and setup check this week.

This lefthanded PRS SE came in last week for a setup, tremblock and a fresh set of Seymour Duncan pickups dropped in.

So when a long time customer asked if I could set up their new guitar in time for a big show they have coming up, the only option was to put together a make shift workbench on the dinning room table 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

With wedding season fast approaching I thought it was time to give this beauty a good strip down and setup ready for the fun times ahead.

Band situation update:

It's with a heavy heart that we announce Kev's departure from the band. After 8.5 years of loyal service to RD (out of 30ish years of playing live music), Kev is moving to Ireland and is focussing on things that are more important than shouting at people in rooms. We love him dearly and his departure has been on the very best of terms, and we've been made to promise to come visit him in County Kerry as soon as he's settled.

Its no coincidence that his joining the band sparked a boost in our presence in the scene as he joined us as we were writing 'Seaside Resort to Violence'.

He has been instrumental (literally) to us as a songwriter, vocalist, bass player, lyricist...and tons of other stuff! Starting and building the Instagram page, posting a lot of the content you've been seeing over the years, making all the music videos...and making us absolutely p**s ourselves in the van at all times.

He will be missed more than can be put into words - we love you, brother, and hope your move brings you all the happiness in the world.

What emerges from all this, is a strange new chapter.

We need a new bass player.

These are big shoes to fill, we take pride in being able to play the way we do live and we'd rather stop the band entirely than limp on with someone who isn't quite right.

NOTHING IS CANCELLED gigs wise, we will temporarily play as a three piece for a while until this gets sorted, Craig from F. Emasculata is going to fill in for us for our upcoming gig with Na**lm Death (and perhaps a couple of others as a plan B) - but we are very much looking for a permanent, committed bass player to keep taking the band forward.

So, massive thanks to Craig for undertaking an 18 song set to cover us for the Na**lm Death gig on the 25th March on such short notice, absolute hero!
