We found another throwback on Fairhope Bay Dental's page and HAD to share!

We are celebrating a year working with Clay Ponder in our office!

Clay is our removable lab tech and master of all things dentures.

He is also one of the funniest people that has ever walked through these doors and is certain to put a smile on everyone’s face within earshot.

Clay runs his own lab and takes care of other offices around the area however we get spoiled with him on Thursdays as he actually comes into our office to work with our patients directly.

This results in better care for these patients as we are all working together on these cases throughout the entire process.

Thank you Clay for being such a great part of our family!

Hey there, Fairhope Bay Dental fam! 🌊 Today was all about teamwork and precision in the office. I had the pleasure of spending the day with our amazing lab tech, Clay Ponder, from SCP Dental. 🙌

Together, we were hard at work crafting a custom flipper for one of our fantastic patients, set to be delivered next week. 💪 Seeing the dedication and skill that goes into creating these dental solutions is truly awe-inspiring. 👏

We can do any and all repairs! Flexible repairs are one of our biggest requests, as most other labs reject this type of repair - and usually for a good reason! Repairs on flex-base partials can be extremely difficult to do correctly, as most of these materials can be very finicky. With that being said, SCP Dental is confident in our technique to repair this type of appliance. By simply using regular acrylic and cutting the correct amount of relief into the correct places, we are able to produce a lasting repair that is smooth to the touch.

The case shown here called for #5 to be extracted and added to the partial. Notice the smooth transition between the acrylic repair and the original surface of the flexible material - this is essential to avoid food traps!

Give us a call today if you're looking for a lab to send your flexible repairs to! We can return a repair case to your office by 3PM the next business day, and same day repairs can also be done if scheduled in advance (for offices located in Mobile and Baldwin County).
