The TACA Hawai'i Family Day is a community event open to all and will celebrate the end of the Ride for Autism by Tatau MC. Parents on Oahu with children or adults who are non speaking or have hesitant speech — please come to a free 90 minute presentation March 7th at 1:30 pm given by the founder of Spelling to Communicate (S2C) Elizabeth Vosseller at UH Manoa campus. Meet her and talk with her afterwards in the Exhibition Hall at our Hawaii Autism Foundation table.

Talk with other parents on Oahu who are using this method to open the doorway to communication. We have limited free passes for parents who are able to attend the presentation. Adolescence is a time for change for all children. Children with ASD have a lot of stress to manage and puberty adds another layer of stress. Dr. Usman Singh will discuss hormonal issues that puberty brings on as well as other factors that may present such as seizures, PANS, and blood sugar handling issues.
