Fundraiser for Children's Museum is Tonight
By Beacon Staff
There’s a lot of work to be done to turn the former Craftsman Press building into a children’s educational museum – as well as a few million dollars of fundraising.
Right now, Burlington Stem Foundation board member Tammy McCoy is looking to replace the building’s windows. There’s about 80 of them, and it’s going to cost about $2,000 a piece to replace them all.
That’s why the STEM Foundation is hosting a fundraiser from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at the Art Center called Windows of Opportunity.
Everyone is invited to hear McCoy speak about the future of the children’s museum, which will be called the inspiration lab. Fellow STEM board member Becky Anderson will speak, as well as board president David Carlson.
Light appetizers and drinks will served.
