Iguana progress.

lol I didn’t wait at all to jump into the next project. This is that large canvas I filmed the under painting for. I started this iguana and we shall see where it goes. This is just a sketch for me to start. I’m sure it will evolve as I go. I am thinking some plants or flowers with this one. I once had a very large iguana named Lenore. She was a rescue that needed a home. I found out pretty quickly she was to much for me to handle even though she was very nice. I found a new home for her to live her best life.

I was able to paint for a whopping half an hour on this today before teething toddler happened. Here’s a couple updated photos of this piece while I hang out with the said child.

Starting a new painting.

I haven’t painted portraits of people on canvas in decades and even when I had before I rarely ever finished them. I am so excited with how this loose portrait came out. It was super fun! Tell me what you think! Should I do more? I have a bunch of abstract backgrounds already painted and waiting for their purpose.

“Hypnotize” is still on display at check it out before it’s gone. I love this piece. I’ll have to ask that to new owners send me a picture of it hung up.

Day 41

Day 40 I did this a few days ago messing around.

Day 39 it’s been awhile. I’ll try to get back in the mode.

This lamp gave up finally and it was time to get a proper lamp to paint! I just set up the new one and I’m in love! Where has this lamp been my whole life?

I just completed this commission for a family friend and I’m so excited and pleased with how it came out. I haven’t had many commissions in my life that weren’t a painting of a pet so this was so special and fun. Thank you Laura!

I will be showing my artwork March 2nd at our local cafe and art gallery. I can’t wait!

Day 38. I swear I haven’t given up on this challenge. I’ve just been so busy.

Tory in high school art class. This was a photo of me for a self portrait painting. I was doing some heavy duty cleaning in the art studio and found this beauty. Sorry I haven’t been posting much. I’ve been so busy prepping for our upcoming art exhibition and working on some pieces. I can’t wait to show everyone my newest piece.

Today is the finale of our first show at Chestnut & Bank If you don’t know what to do on this Saturday evening come out and support some local artists and myself.

Day 37. Very new to digital art and decided to mess around doing a portrait in procreate.
