Got a message today about a very young solo kitten found on a porch and the person that found it was unable to get the kitten to eat. I went over to pick the kitten up and the second I saw her I had a very intense feeling about Felix. Some people might find this crazy and that’s ok, but I genuinely feel like Felix had something to do with this kitten coming to us. Felix’s brother Ralph has been very lonely and desperately needs a companion now that Felix is gone. It’s very rare that we get messages about solo kittens and that this kitten is the exact same age as Ralph to me is no coincidence. So this little girl will be heading up to her foster mama and new sibling tomorrow morning. We need a name for her. What do y’all think?
Thank you Felix 🤎👼🏼
🤍🤍 HUGE OPPORTUNITY 🤍🤍
Y’all we have a HUGE opportunity for a really large blessing that we DESPERATELY need right now. We have an anonymous donor that is willing to do a donation match all the way up to $1,000!! If you have been following us recently you know how much that money would help us as donations are at an all time low but the call for help is not. This means your donation of $5 is really $10, $20 is really $40 and $100 is $200!! If you have been thinking about donating now is the time! Your impact is literally doubled!

Felix Update…
Unfortunately, this is not the update that we wanted to have to make about our sweet little Felix, but we were informed this morning that he passed away peacefully in his sleep overnight. He fought as hard as his little body could, and hung on for longer than most expected. We won’t forget little Felix and will continue to rescue kittens just like him. Please spay and neuter your pets, because situations like this should never happened.
We received the invoice for Felix‘s hospitalization and along with cremation we are looking at a balance of $520. While we will always do everything we can and fight for every animal that we can, large unexpected medical bills like this really hurt our rescue and being able to help animals in the future. We would be so appreciative of any donation of any amount to help us cover this large bill. Thank you to everybody that has donated already towards his care. It has been applied to his balance as well.

It seems like our little Felix is a fighter and not giving up yet! We just got this update from our vet.
“So his temp is bouncing around. Last temperature check he was 92.8. we are still giving him dextrose because we can’t feed him until his temperature comes up to 99. His eyes are brighter and he is starting to move around a bit more. The doctor will review his plan this evening and give you a call with an update in the next couple hours”
Please continue to send our little fighter all of the positive thoughts, vibes and prayers, as he’s not out of the woods yet. Also, please if you are able to donate towards his care we would be so appreciative! The longer he stays there the higher our invoice climbs and we are in desperate need of donations. No amount is too small and so so so appreciated!

🪵 POST & BOARD FUNDRAISER 🪵
We are headed out today to pick up the 150 posts from our $2 a post fundraiser! We are so so excited to get these posts out here and start getting them in the ground! We want to try and keep up the momentum and raise some funds for the boards to put on the posts. We are so blessed to be able to get boards from a family friend for only $4 a board! Getting these post for $2 is so amazing but it is only half of the puzzle, we need the boards to put on the posts to make it a full fence enclosure for the animals. We are hoping that we can raise a few dollars today to go pick up some boards to get on these posts! If you are able to cover the cost of just one board today, only $4, we would be SO appreciative! If everyone in this group just donated 1 board we would be able to finish all of our fencing projects for the sanctuary residents here with NO problem!
Also, please share this post so we can reach as many people as possible. You never know who may see it in your friends list and be inclined to help 🙏🏼 Below are some photos of the sanctuary residents that your donation will directly be helping. Thanks so much in advance!

AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!
Y’all we have an amazing opportunity to get a large chunk of our posts for INCREDIBLY cheap. These are being sold for $2 a post! We’ve been paying $13-$14 a post! We would love to raise the money to go pick these up today! No, they are not brand new but for the price you can’t beat it! Would you be able to sponsor the cost of one or two posts today? We would be soooo appreciative!! The man has 150 that we can purchase. This would be such a huge blessing for us because the cost of all of our fencing projects has been a massive stressor on us. Thank you all so much in advance for any posts covered 🙏🏼

This is Laine. She wondered onto the sanctuary about 2 weeks ago crying out for some help. It is likely that she was dumped in this area. She is too sweet and too clean to have lived outside for long. Well, we were lucky enough to find her an amazing foster home and we need to get her spayed today so she can go and find her furever home. We need to raise $200 to cover her vaccines and spay. Spaying and neutering is one of the main things we preach here at Doe Eyes. So much suffering and unnecessary deaths happen because of “accidental” pregnancies and unaltered animals. Every animal that gets adopted from us is spayed or neutered before leaving to assure that we end the cycle of breeding for as many animals as we can and prevent as much suffering as we can. So please, if you are able to donate even $1 to help us change Lainey’s life for the better we would be so appreciative!

The first photo is of Mugatu the day we took him in from his horrific neglect and abandonment case. The second was yesterday. It is incredible what love, tlc and proper care can do. His foster mama Tina Tomalesky and him have become best friends. We had to push back mugatu’s ear cancer surgery because our funds were low. We would like to try and reschedule his appointment for the very near future but need to raise $700 for both his ears and dental surgeries. If you are able to donate towards his procedures we would be incredibly appreciative. Mugatu is also looking for his furever home after his surgeries!

Well, what’s one more, right? We were driving to drop some supplies off a few towns away and we had to drive right past the neglect cat colonie’s house that we’ve been working on so we decided to pop in just to make sure they had food and water… sure enough there’s a little black kitten with an infected eye and a horrifically infected wound on its chest. So we scooped him up and we will add him to our list of kittens that need to go to the vet tomorrow for antibiotics and treatment. The cat crisis in this county is just too out of control, things have to change.
What should we name this little boy?
We are so close to having this area fully fenced in! The goal is to finish this evening and have all the animals moved over. Lots of hard work but it’s all starting to pay off!!
$5 Friday Fundraiser 🙏🏼
Honestly, I would just like to cry at this point. I feel like the universe is playing a joke on us. As soon as I feel like we have our head above water something happens and it kicks the wind right out of our sails. We just had a very large chunk of money withdrawn from our account by a clinic (without authorization, and yes I am in communication to try and figure out wth is going on) but that literally just wiped out all of our funds and even put us in the negative. We have been fundraising for so many things that at this point the donations have stopped (which I completely understand) but we don’t function without donations. And now that we are in the red again it’s terrifying. We are literally begging at this point to please donate ANY amount so that we can get back on our feet. This is a terrifying situation to be in but there’s nothing to do but keep working to get out of it. I feel so good about the work we are doing here and it feels like as soon as we do something good, something bad happens and kicks up back. It’s incredibly challenging. So please if you are able we would be so appreciative of any amount donated. Thank you all so much in advance!

🐴 JD & Marty Update!!🐴
This morning was the boys big vet appointment! Both boys did really well and surprisingly let us handle, vaccinate and draw blood relatively easy.
JD…our vet is concerned that the swelling in his inner eyelid could possibly be cancerous, so we are going to let him settle in a bit longer and decompress and come back in a few weeks to look at it again and figure out a treatment plan. With his advanced age surgery is not an ideal option but we will explore everything. We vaccinated him and came up with a plan to get a little bit more weight on him. They took a f***l sample to test as well. Our biggest obstacle with JD will simply be socializing him and getting him used to being handled.
Marty…our super thiccc boy Marty. We can’t help but giggle at Marty’s literal second butt that he has. However, we definitely do have to get him on a weight loss diet/routine to help him shed his extra weight. We went ahead and vaccinated him and the vet drew some blood to run some tests to see if Marty might be diabetic. We should have those results in about a week. Marty’s feet are in pretty bad shape so we have our farrier coming to help with those as well.
All in all the appointment went really well. We will start the boys on the specific things that they need right away and wait for test results on others.
Today’s appointment we are looking at roughly $500, a little more than what was originally estimated because we opted for more tests. Please if you are able to help us cover this cost we would be so so appreciative! No donation amount is too small!!

Ahhhh you guys!!!
Sanctuary bound!
Yall this is just ONE of our vet bills that has to be paid by Monday morning. Our finances are so depleated that we are having to push back surgeries until we can get our heads back above water. We are also closed to all intakes as well. We are going to be running fundraisers all this weekend to try and get this specific bill paid. Please donate if you are able to! No amount is too small. Seriously, if a fraction of this group just donated $1 we could cover this no problem! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
This particular invoice was to get our FIP kitten Poppy treatment and vet care, that if she didn’t receive she would die. Your donations will go directly to helping her ♥️
If you would like to call the vet directly to make a payment you can call the number below and say you would like to donate towards Doe Eyes invoice for Poppy. 571-200-8500

Excited is an understatement! Thank god we had a few solid foremen on the job to help direct us lol. Fawn even jumped the fence from the back field to come inspect her new digs. We will be working on fencing for the next week to get the area all secured for everyone to move in permanently! Yayyy!!!!
LOOK WHAT WE JUST PICKED UP!!
We are soooo excited!!!! We are heading back to the sanctuary to get it all set up and start working on some more fence! We are so thankful to everyone that donated to help us be able to purchase this building that will help soooo many sanctuary residents here at Doe Eyes; current and future. We are also excited to establish a relationship with the builder to hopefully be able to purchase larger buildings in the future too!
We could not have done this without y’all’s support. Thank you so much!
🤕 $5 Friday For Neglected Colony Cats 🤒
It’s Friday so yall know what that means, another fundraiser lol. Yesterday we only raised a very small amount to help us cover Mae and Emma’s surgeries and we have soooo much more we have to do to get all the cats from this colony healthy and safe. We still need $400 to cover yesterday and we have multiple surgeries next week 😵💫 There are also several cats still at the colony that we need to get out and help as well! Any little bit of savings that we had stored up has been completely eradicated with this case. We aren’t complaining by any means, we would do it all over again the exact same way, we just had no idea the severity of their ailments or the neglect. So today is to help us try and get caught up and get our heads back above water. No donation amount is too small. Seriously, even $1 would be so appreciated! Thank you so much to everybody that has been so supportive of this case and that has donated and shared our posts. We genuinely couldn’t do this without all of y’all!

Betty popping in to show you a smile and some love! Show her some back and tell her how pretty her new ears are!
YALL!! We have an amazing opportunity to purchase a brand new barn for some of our large animal sanctuary residents! We typically wouldn’t be trying to purchase something so expensive while also dealing with so many medical cases but something like this doesn’t come along at this price ever and it’s local to us! We can go pick it up tomorrow for only $1400! Could everyone in this group donate just $1 and we would be able to cover it no problem! We have been focusing a lot of the cats since we are in the middle of kitten season but we have so many amazing large animals here at Doe Eyes that we also care for on a daily basis that could really benefit from a building like this!! Please share this post far and wide and let’s make the lives of the furever residents here at Doe Eyes even more enjoyable! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 We have to have the $1400 by tomorrow at 6:30pm
