Update on Steven J. Moore’s surgery.

Good news/bad news.
Bad news: Steve’s rotator cuff tendons were not able to be reconnected so the surgeon was only able to clean out the scar tissue.

Good news: less down time.

What’s the plan? Steve still has to recover from the surgery but will be able to start PT sooner. Its now going to be a matter of building up the deltoids so they can compensate for the left rotator cuff.

Steve is doing great today and says thank you for all the love and support!

Very IMPORTANT announcement! Our beloved Steven J. Moore has suffered an injury and as a result is having surgery Tuesday March 28. He has completely severed both tendons in his rotator cuff. OUCH!!!!! So tonight and tomorrow night will be his last gigs for awhile until he is recovered. Send your prayers and positive energy his way! Come see us and wish him well!!!

30 years ago today- Kayla answered an ad in the Creative Loafing and auditioned for a band that Steve played lead guitar in.
That band was called ‘A Fine Line’. Next band was ‘OneWithout’ and then ‘The Adventures of Kayla & Steve’ and then a total genre change to jazz and ‘Kayla Taylor Jazz’.
THIRTY years of writing, recording, fighting, playing, singing, learning and here they are. Still standing and still making music. Happy Anniversary Kayla and Steve!

Blossom Dearie - Wikipedia 28/04/2022

Happy Birthday to one of my favorite jazz vocalists and pianist: Blossom Dearie. Our very own Steven J. Moore actually got to see her live at a restaurant in NYC she regularly played. I’ve been envious ever since. Blossom said of herself that she considered herself "a jazz musician, learning to be a jazz singer"

Blossom Dearie - Wikipedia Margrethe Blossom Dearie[1][a][2] (April 28, 1924 – February 7, 2009) was an American jazz singer and pianist.[3] She had a recognizably light and girlish voice.[4][5][2][3] Dearie performed regular engagements in London and New York City over many years[4][2] and collaborated with many musicians,...
