Black Crake - The black crake is a water bird in the tail and crake family. It breeds in most of the sub Saharan Africa except in very arid areas. It does do some seasonal movements in those parts of its range which are subject to drought. They are very secretive birds which makes them tricky to find. It eats a wide range of invertebrates, small fish, frogs and seeds. It will take the eggs of birds and scavenge on carcasses. It will forage on the ground or climb reeds to find prey including flying insects.

Giraffe 🦒

Interesting fact about giraffe is that when they run they don’t have a 4 beat/step movement. Giraffes have a way of moving/gait in which both the front and back legs on one side move forward together, then the other two legs on the other side move forward. It's called "pacing." Giraffes can run very fas around 35 miles (56 kilometers) per hour for short distances.

Different style of hunting 🐴, the master of 4 legs, sharp eyes and ears. After an exhilarating stalk after some springbuck and using the horses as our disguise we managed to get a shot in at this beautiful springbuck ram. Such a different style hunting with horses but a life time of memories was made and so much fun was had.
