It was fun to work on this simply pieced cushion cover to show off Arthur’s Garden by . It can be a stretch for me to work with so many prints, so I was grateful for a little push.

I mostly use solid fabrics in my work, but am starting to see prints and pattern differently. I could try and explain it here but it is more of an essay than an IG post! 😅 These are some beautiful fat quarters I picked up at Winds and Waves in Tilting, NL. I think I’m going to make necklaces with them at the .ca Zoom workshop on May 3. Stay tuned for registration details next week!

We met the maker (Millicent Dwyer) of one of our Inn quilts at Winds and Waves, the local quilting guild in Tilting, NL. Quilts are at the and of also makes phenomenal quilts. And swipe to the end -- because quilts are painted on boulders, too. So many other moments; can't post them all!

I just woke up from a dream…
I have so much to process after a bucket list visit to . I met remarkable people, took in awe-inspiring landscapes, experienced amazing architecture, ate food that was art — all rooted in the most phenomenal sense of place. Best of all, I witnessed the power of community.

I love this photo and I love this quilt; it was the second quilt I ever made (I thought it was gonna be my last 🤣). I brought it to Newfoundland exactly 4 years ago when I had the best time with and the Cabot Quilters Guild.
I get to return to NL next week…More on that adventure in the weeks to come.

I recently started using an mini-iron because using the big one constantly was wearing on my wrist/hand/arm. I love it!
One of the realities of being a maker/artist/craftsperson is that your body is always engaged (even if you make digital art!). I have had to start paying attention to it. 🙂
