We have a few weddings to cater for and a family holiday coming up so curry night will resume on the 9th of August.
Spring Onion and Beansprout Fritters
Beansprouts, matchsticks of potato and spring onions in a spiced gram flour batter deep fried and served with our spicy Chilli Sambol.
Chilli Sambol
Minced dried red chillies with ginger garlic, tamarind, coconut sugar and a little fish sauce.
Steak and Rice noodle Salad
Thinly sliced rump steak pieces mixed through some rice vermicelli noodles, a few thinly sliced shallots, cherry tomatoes and fresh mint. Seasoned with a dressing made from fresh lime juice, fish sauce, kaffir lime leaves and chilli. Garnished with chopped peanuts.
Kapitan Chicken Curry (our favourite chicken curry!)
Boneless chicken thigh pieces cooked in a complex coconut milk based sauce flavoured with turmeric, galangal, chillies, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, nutmeg, fenugreek etc.
Malay Veg Dal Curry
Yellow split peas, green beans and carrot cooked with pandan leaf, tamarind, cinnamon, lime juice and coconut milk.
Achar (veg pickle)
Florets of cauliflower, green beans, carrots, shallots and white cabbage, cured in vinegar, sugar and salt until crunchy then added to a hot and sweet mix of fried chillies, peanuts, ginger and sesame seeds, served cold.
Nasi Lemak (Coconut rice)
Basmati Rice steamed in coconut milk and spiced with cardamon, cinnamon and star anise.

Extra dishes from above can be added for an additional £8.
Options: We can replace beef with fresh mango in the salad. Chicken can be replaced with a double helping of the dal curry.

Chicken Satay
Chicken thigh pieces marinaded in a paste of shallots, garlic, soy, kaffir lime leaves and kecap manis. Grilled and served with our satay peanut sauce.
Peanut Satay Sauce
Finely chopped peanuts cooked in coconut milk, chilli, kecap manis, shrimp paste and fresh lime juice. Served cold but also good warmed up at home if you can.
Prawn Crackers
Traditionally served with an Indonesian meal bringing texture to the banquet.
Indo Slaw with Sambal Kelapa Garnish
Cabbage slaw with a ginger dressing, cucumber and Sambal Kelapa Garnish (toasted coconut and chopped peanuts seasoned with tamarind and shrimp paste).
Sumatran Beef Rendang - Rendang Daging
Pieces of chuck steak and potato very slowly cooked in coconut milk spiced with turmeric, galangal, lemongrass and a little chilli until meltingly tender.
Ginger Dipping Sauce
A vinegar based dipping sauce with blended ginger and a touch of chilli to splash on beef or chicken.
Nasi Kuning (fragrant yellow rice)
Basmati Rice cooked with coconut milk, turmeric and kaffir lime leaf.

Sticky (glutinous) Rice with Coconut, Chopped Prawn and Kaffir Lime Leaf
A small pot of sticky rice steamed in coconut milk and sweetened with palm sugar then topped with a mix of chopped prawn, grated coconut and finely sliced kaffir lime leaf. Seasoned with fish sauce and sweetened with palm sugar. Served cold but best warmed up at home if you wish. (prawns can be omitted and replaced with peanuts).
Prik Nam Pla Dipping Sauce
Chopped Chilli, fish sauce, vinegar and lime. To be used as a condiment with the whole banquet.
Vermicelli Herb Noodle Salad with Fresh Mango and Chopped Dried Shrimp and Peanuts
Vermicelli noodles, julienned vegetables, fresh herbs and mango in a lime juice and chilli dressing with chopped dried shrimp and peanut topping.
Green Chicken Curry
Chicken pieces and vegetables cooked in a spicy coconut milk based sauce flavoured with fresh coriander, lemongrass, garlic, galangal and garnished with kaffir lime leaves.
Penang Roasted Squash Curry
Roasted Butternut Squash and potato cooked until tender in a coconut milk based sauce infused with our intensely flavoured curry paste of lemongrass, chilli, garlic, spices and kaffir lime leaf, Seasoned with fish sauce and palm sugar.

Wonton wrappers filled with minced prawn, minced pork with chopped peanuts, fresh coriander and lime juice deep fried.
Nam Jim Dipping Sauce
Fresh chillies, soy and crushed yellow bean with vinegar and fish sauce. Great with the gold bags or general condiment for the whole banquet.
Thai Slaw with Peanut Garnish
Julienned crunchy vegetables and cabbage in a spicy tamarind dressing garnished with chopped peanuts.
Half a Free Range Chicken
Half a free range chicken marinaded in our own red curry paste. Roasted in the oven garnished with a fresh lime wedge and strips of kaffir lime leaves.
Red Curry Sauce on the Side
A pot of red curry sauce made with a stock from the chicken trimmings, coconut milk and a few extra veggies and bamboo shoots. Flavoured with lemon grass, chilli and garlic.

Swap out one of the meats for the veggie option or even both of the meats with a double portion of pineapple and cashew curry for a complete vegetarian meal. Poppodoms
Dal with Tomatoes and Curry Leaves
Red lentils cooked in coconut milk then seasoned with an oil spiced with curry leaves, black mustard seed, cinnamon and gently fried fresh tomatoes.
Green Bean Curry
A key dish of many Sri Lankan meals (probably our favourite veggie dish) these beans are softened in coconut oil which has been infused with curry leaves, cinnamon, mustard seed and red onion. Then the pan is de-glazed with a splash of coconut milk and fresh lime juice.
Coconut, Parsley and Chilli Sambol
Grated coconut with flat leaf parsley and red onion seasoned with lime juice, a little chilli and black pepper.
Sri Lankan Chicken Curry
Chicken pieces seasoned and seared then added to a sauce fragrant with cardamon, lemongrass and cinnamon and cooked further with our own roasted curry powder blend, tomatoes, pandan leaf, fresh curry leaves and coconut milk.
Kurivita's Beef Curry
Cubes of chuck steak braised slowly over 6 hours with potato, tomato, chilli, onions, our own roasted curry powder and curry leaves.

This Saturday the 13th of April we’ll be bringing the flavours of the Middle East to our street food pop up at Cresswell Quay. Thanks to all who came last Saturday despite the rain, it was good to finally meet some of our regular curry fans face to face.

Slow roasted middle eastern spiced lamb with whipped feta sauce, a herby slaw dressed in lemon juice and olive oil and optional hot sauce spiced with Aleppo pepper. Served in a garlic buttered flat bread.

Naan bread dressed with herby Za’atar in extra virgin olive oil.
Lime and Saffron Roasted Chicken in Yoghurt Sauce
Chicken thigh pieces in a saffron, lime and yoghurt sauce. Marinaded in lime juice, saffron, grated onion and yoghurt then chargrilled in a hot oven and dusted in sumac before being returned to the remaining heated marinade.
Persian Style Harissa
Dried red chillies whizzed up with roasted and peeled red peppers spiced with some cumin and caraway seed then dressed with a little olive oil.
Shirazi Winter Salad
A crunchy winter salad including apple, fennel, white cabbage and dill in a lemony olive oil dressing garnished with toasted slivered almonds.
Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulder with Dried Lime and Split Peas
Slow roasted lamb shoulder pieces cooked with split peas and spiced with dried limes, garlic, cumin, coriander, saffron and cinnamon. Meltingly tender in a thick sauce.
Yoghurt with Beetroot and Mint
Thick Greek yoghurt seasoned with garlic and finely diced beetroot. As an accompaniment to the lamb.
Saffron Steamed Rice with Buttered lentil and Raisin Garnish
Buttered basmati rice steamed with saffron and topped with buttered lentil and raisin garnish
