"Coming from a broken and poor family, I would always find myself comparing my own life with others. I was envious of their achievements, material possessions, and the opportunities that they received. I felt I was punished despite my good behavior, while sinners enjoyed the luxurious life. I could not understand the logic of God as to why He was being unfair to me. I felt I was loved less.

I grumbled at God through the years but through the guidance of Jesus and the Holy Spirit's encouragement, I was finally able to accept God's plan. I finally understood that all the brokenness that I experienced was God's way of teaching me to be strong for and faithful to my future family. I learned to ask myself in every situation, "What is God teaching me in this moment?" The Lord always presents to us more than just a situation. He reveals to us truths, lessons and affirmations. It is with a discerning spirit that our hearts can reach understanding.

Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Holy Spirit. We see a three-person partnership in the mission. This unique partnership also exists in our lives - to instruct, guide, and to help us understand. May we learn to rely on them, trusting them to reveal to us their plan for our lives."

Let's face it, we don't want to be alone. We sometimes get insecure/depressed because we are by ourselves, or because of the fact that we don't a boyfriend/girlfriend. But in reality, we are never alone, we have a God who is almighty, who is always willing to listen to our every word. Kaya, forever alone ka? Hindi naman.

Sometimes in life, things won't go our way, may it be a failed exam or a rejection. But despite these pains, we should never give up on ourselves, and on our God. For God has plans for us, plans for a future full of hope. Kaya, chill lang, trust in His plans.

On March 31, 2019, YFCs in the Central Sector of Leyte who had their Youth Camp one month ago (or more) were called to attend the Covenant Orientation at the Ormoc School of the Morning Star (OSMS) at Brgy. Linao, Ormoc City. In this Covenant Orientation, we were reminded that it takes so much responsibility for one to be truly called to be a YFC. But nevertheless, we were able to experience Fun, Friendship, Freedom, and Faith. And overall, our bond, our covenant with with Christ was strengthened.

We, the YFCs, invite you to join this upcoming worship on friday (February 1), 5pm onwards at SPP St. Dominic Hall. In this worship we'll formally welcome our new full Time pastoral worker and new yfc sector coordinator, conversely, well have a send off gathering and farewell messages for our past yfc sector coordinator, tito Mark. Let's all welcome this upcoming month with a grandiose and solemn worship as we all gather together and feel the great Love of our Lord. SEE YOU THERE!

January 11, 2018 | Worship Highlights

Held at the SPP St. Dominic Hall, the YFCs gathered to experience God's great love through the event. The event started with a session by Sis. Julia Mendoza, a Cluster Head of the Central Sector. In her session, we were reminded of the importance of prayer, especially to us youths. It was followed by 2 sharers: Sis. Aila Hermosilla and Bro. Jonathan Bagarinao, who shared their own personal experiences relating to the topic. After the session, it was followed by a collective household prayer meeting, the youths were able to connect to one another. After Julia concluded her talk, it was followed by a worship, led by Bro. Edward Monte. In his exhortation, we were reminded that we must not only worship God when there are activities such as Worship. But rather, we must worship and praise him everyday, as gave up so many things just for us. It is also in Bro. Edward's exhortation that we are reminded that we are truly blessed by a perfect God, who loves us perfectly despite our own imperfections. With these reminders and messages, the youths worship the Lord with their whole heart, soul, and mind.
