Annihilin was the first and the only band of AOT in 2006 formed with the members-
Suvam, Jishnu, Abhik, Rudra (founding member of "Missing Link"), Raj, and our very own Bamdeb Sir (on drums). The band has been doing music in AOT ever since with some change in line-up every year (coz of the passing out seniors). Like in 2011, Agniva was d link in d band between the old Annihilin and d new line-up.
In 2012 the new line up did a fantastic show after many years...
Talented musicians came together this year to do a completely mind-blowing show with songs like Californication (Slane Castle live version), R**e Me (Nirvana), One last breath (creed), Krishno pokkho - a folk song completely changed by Annhilin in their own way, etc...
And this year BAMDEV DA played one song at the last on request with the band, after 4 years of passiveness. He will be a full time drummer with Annihilin from 2014 onwards, thanks to the 2013 Annihilin. The band put up a completely professional level great show in 2013. Songs like Sweet Child o' mine, Nothing Else Matters, Annihilin's own version of the A.R. Ra\ehman classic "Dil Se" was beautifully arranged in their signature rock version with retardations and odd accentisation. Their own version of the song Urvashi was also done. The guitarist, Saswata's improvement since last year was commendable, and so was everyone else's performance. The vocalist's range was a matter of discussion among the entire crowd. According to none other than Gaurav Dasgupta, the college's pride, "This year's performance by Annihilin was 100 times better than last year's or any other show in the college till now. Shocked by Saswata's improvement". Comment's came flowing in. This year four of the band's members will be leaving... But we plan to do it even bigger next year, coz we believe that among the unexplored crowd there are still unexplored talents...waiting to emerge...
