Almost To Whiskey
Small acreage horse farm boarding with dry lot, pasture, and track system.
Oh Spanky…
They say every horse should experience being loved by a little girl. Finlay was a kind soul that loved my kids.
We need some prayers for our Spanky tonight. He was showing signs of colic which was caught very early. We need prayers for lots of healthy poops over night. So think stinky thoughts 😂
Prepping horseshoes for craft time with 4K kiddos from Trinity UMC Preschool!
Finlay was a senior resident at the farm until he passed away due to complications of old age. He came thin and looking like he was 30 but after a few months of TLC, the vet that had treated him for 20 years didn’t recognize him.
I took him on because this dear, sweet soul had to endure many dressage lessons with me and he gave me an unmeasurable amount of grace 😅
Sundays are for sunbathing.
I’ve had people ask me if I make my kids go out to the horses when they don’t feel like it. I don’t. When my kids go out to them it’s because they want to see them.
I believe feeling the genuine happiness to see them is better for the horses. With horses and kids, every interaction teaches them something whether it is positive or negative.
I hope that every time my kids come out to see them and interact with them, it’s motivated by love and not just one of Mom’s demands.
P**p patrol!
Move faster, human! I want my dinner!
When your arms are too tired and he’s still dirty.

Tinkerbell gets the zoomies 😆
Merry Christmas, Tink! Big thank you to Joey and Caleb for building this for her.
My little helper around the barn 🥰
Katie spent her Thanksgiving charming some new victims into believing she was starving to death and I was picking up baby serpents out of the leaves.
