This replica of Wolf is outstanding! Joby Pritzker is blessed to have one of these incredible guitars, and wanted a strap for it just as Jerry’s Wolf now has! We toyed with many ideas, but because I’ve strapped Jerry’s Wolf, we decided to do a new and altered version of the design I did for the OG! You’ll notice in the photo with both the original guitar and the replica, what came through and what is varied! I love the unique energy for each! Joby was such a joy to work with, so happy he was digging the 70’s vibe! And even the leather matches one of Jerry’s leather jackets from this era!! Well done Bill, this instrument is gorgeous! And congrats Joby, you’re blessed with the talents of an amazing luthier and bead artist!!

Originally hand built by Doug in 1972 and sold 1973 to Stanroy Music Center in Santa Rosa California. This was the predecessor to what became Jerry Garcia’s Wolf guitar he purchased from Doug in 1973.

First Sammy bought the Deadcaster from Bill Asher and me, then he took it to Bob Weir, who played it and signed, then Sammy signed it and sold it to Scott- the guy in the last picture.
