Happy early thanksgiving to our U.S. followers! Remember that the protein in the turkey and the fat in the gravy may delay the absorption of the carbs in potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pie. Plan accordingly and check often to ensure a healthy and happy holiday!
Happy Halloween from our founder, Jonny! Remember that sugary candy will spike your blood sugar fast and insulin takes longer to act, so taking insulin a little in advance and planning your candy binges might reduce blood sugar spikes. Just be careful afterward as even the fastest acting insulins can continue to drop your blood sugar for four hours. Check with you health care team to plan accordingly and keep happy and healthy if you choose to enjoy Halloween candy.
