Had a great time at the Arvada Chamber of Commerce Inspiring Women's Group. The topic was personal branding: a topic I am frequently asked about. The great thing was the core word I often use was used many times during the panel discussion: Authenticity. Be real. Have integrity. It's one of the best things to do for your business and yourself.

Today!! The Art Gym is having the holiday market with over 30+ members there selling their amazing wares, myself included. Open from 4-8, there will be food, a gallery show and the market place. It's an amazing space to see and experience so please do join! Super excited!

Hello all! In addition to being a designer, jazz singer (see ) I'm also a fine artist. This coming Saturday, the 10th of December from 4-8pm I'll be with a number of other crazy talented artists at the Art Gym for the holiday bazaar! Please do consider coming and supporting local fine artists!

One of our favorite projects to take on is taking a existing website and giving it a brand new look. For the Music Lesson Cafe that’s exactly what we did. We spruced up their old logo and built their new website around their updated look. We also added some details like online scheduling to easily spot available classes along with an online checkout to streamline the booking and payment process. These changes increased the site traffic by 50%, it also reduced the bounce rate to 5%, and finally it freed up precious time for the client and eliminated the need to manually invoice the parents. BEAUTIFUL New site, and my most recent post was pretty underwhelming.. so I redid it! Go go digital media. The lesson? Don't feel too tied to what you've posted. If it doesn't work, redo it.

This site turned out wonderfully! Beautiful colors, clean, navigable design for a mental health services organization in eastern Texas. Great folks to work with and what a lovely end product.

Work life balance seems to be a major topic of discussion these days and I feel like the work I do needs more of a voice!

When you work from home, or work remotely… the work never ends. You can find yourself on the clock every waking hour and if you’re not careful, it’ll take over any extra personal moments you have.

So how do we structure that balance?

For me it looks like dog walks, time with my partner, my friends and family and lots of tea!

Accessibility is important. And I don’t just mean bathroom doors.

Websites are used by a multitude of people. Different languages, different visual or hearing abilities, and different abilities to see color. Nowadays with all the tools and knowledge there is no reason a site can’t be accessible for everyone.

Talk to your developers (or me!) about doing checks to make sure your site meets at least AA accessibility standards.
