The Greater Toledo Civil War Round Table

Come on out tomorrow (March 5th) for our next meeting at 7pm at the maumee valley historical society. We will be having two sections: the first is a discussion on the importance of historical accuracy in civil war media and the other is a presentation by bob Goulding on the Springfield rifle and it’s significance in winning the war. We hope to see you there!

As you are probably aware the forecast for the next 24 hours is looking rather bleak with heavy snow predicted to continue until tomorrow afternoon. Because of this we have decided to cancel our meeting tomorrow rather than risk any misfortune happening on your way. We will post the rescheduled date soon and if not, we will see you next month, March 5th at 7pm

Do to many of our members informing us that they will not be present for this months meeting due to vacation, work, etc. it has been decided that we will not meet this month and instead pick things up on September 5th rather than hold a meeting with only 3 or 4 people. Do to an increasingly hectic schedule these coming weeks along with a few logistical errors pertaining to our regular meeting location, we will not be meeting for our meeting this coming month (May). Alas do not discouraged by this for we will be back on June 6th with a vengeance. Our June meeting will be member favorite, a movie viewing followed by a discussion! We will be viewing the opening scenes of Gods and Generals. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided as always and you are more than welcome to bring some of your own, see you all in June!

Come out to the GREATER TOLEDO CIVIL WAR ROUND TABLE MEETING AT THE WOLCOTT HOUSE COMPLEX IN MAUMEE AT 7:00 tonight 3/7/19 light snacks and drinks provided! We will be discussing the recent Medal of Honor of a Toledo Resident found in Orlando Florida. Hope to see you there!

December 6th is our next Great Toledo Civil War roundtable meeting. The December meeting of the Greater Toledo Civil War Round table will NOT be at the Wolcott Complex, but at the Oregon Jerusalem Historical Society. We will be viewing the presentations by Clay Hisghschool students who created these soley for the roundtable meeting. If you wouldlike t carpool we may meet at the Wolcott House before hand.

The Society is located at 1133 Grasser Street Oregon Ohio, 43616. The date is December 6th at 7:00pm. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.

We will be having a presentation titled "National Treasures" by the wonderful Historian Neil Buttermoore. There is also an informal potluck so feel free to bring a dish to share.
