πŸ™ Topic: The Importance of Prayer

πŸŽ™ Presenter: Vice Teacher Mai Mtembo

πŸ“– Ruwadzano RweZion, let's delve into "The Importance of Prayer." Just as Jesus led a prayerful life, our own Rev Samuel exemplified the power of prayer. In Luke 11:1-5, the disciples sought Jesus to teach them to pray, recognizing the potency of His actions.

πŸ™Œ Why is prayer important?

Closer connection to the God of Zion
Attainment of wisdom
Receiving favor from God
Being utilized by the God of Zion
Finding comfort in the God of Zion

πŸ™ Abraham's Faith: Abraham's journey of prayer, as seen in Genesis 22:5, highlights the principle that what is lost in prayer is always regained in a different form.

πŸ“– Learning from Job: Job's unwavering worship amid adversity, as depicted in Job 1:20-22, teaches us the power of faith amidst questioning.

πŸ’‘ Prayer as a Solution: Prayer serves as a solution in times of uncertainty and difficulty. Like the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25-34), turning to prayer can lead to unexpected answers.

🌟 Seeking God's Presence: The story of the Wise Men, who came to worship Jesus, emphasizes the importance of seeking God's presence for revelation and worship.

πŸ’¬ Your Testimony Matters: Every testimony, regardless of its nature, holds value in the eyes of God. Like Mary's willingness to say yes to God's plan, our obedience matters more than the nature of our past experiences.

πŸšͺ Perseverance in Prayer: Disappointments shouldn't deter us from prayer. Instead, we should focus on the many open doors that await us.

Zion Christian Church
To: All Church Members
Sub: Weekly focus for Wednesday
Date: 03 April 2024

We give thanks to the God of Zion who allowed the Sunday School and Easter conferences to go well. Our focus is:

1. As on every first Wednesday following a conference, ladies, let us do congregational feedback, and share with one another our journey experiences and how we submitted all offerings to Jerusalem, before proceeding to contribute our ransom (_kota_) offering.

Mothers, we have been allowed by God to enter the first Wednesday gathering of Christ's congregation. As a rule, let us start with a feedback session where we explain to each other everything we did, and how we entered Jerusalem.

We worshiped God by putting various gifts in Jehovah's house, and we went up to Jerusalem to pay homage to the King. Now, let us begin by clarifying what we did with God's wealth. As soon as we finish the feedback, we start contributing our ransom (_kota_) offerings and for our families.

We have returned from praying to the king of peace, Christ, so whatever we do as feedback should go well in peace with the help of God's Spirit.

If unable to understand one another, let us notify church authorities or Jerusalem through our Regional Deskee to get help (Acts 15 vs. 2).

🌟 Friday Weekly Focus: Join Us in Commemorating the Easter Conference 🌟

Dear Zion Christian Church Members,

Today marks the beginning of our cherished Easter Conference, with the Sunday Schools leading the way. As we embark on this sacred journey, let us reflect on the significance of our presence and participation.

"You might blame Peter for denying Christ, but failure to attend the Easter Conference is also denial." - Matthew 26:74

While it's easy to criticize Peter for his denial of Christ, let us examine our own hearts. Are we denying Him by neglecting to attend the Easter Conference? This conference is a solemn occasion, akin to attending the funeral of our beloved Savior. Let's not miss this opportunity to honor Him and strengthen our faith.

Awareness Campaign:

Please bring a US$1.00 Emergency Fund, which will be collected at the gate upon entry. Contributions can be made on buses or cars, and receipts must be submitted along with the equivalent amount for banking purposes.

Leaders are reminded to bring all Receipt Books and Deposit Slips for statutes (mirairo) to the conference.

Men (Sungano), let's remember our "farikanyai" - Gumboots, which we will present on Good Friday, our designated day. Note that Sungano "farikanyai" does not replace our regional farikanyai items.
Ensure the safe travel of our Sunday School delegates by arranging daytime transportation and sending departure reports to Jerusalem via regional Deskees.

For more information or to join our services, please reach out to us at:

Let's come together in faith and fellowship as we honor the Easter Conference.

TOPIC: Embracing biblical modesty dressing

PRESENTER: Vice Teacher Mai Mtembo

Welcome to a transformative exploration of biblical modesty dressing, tailored specifically for us, the esteemed Ruwadzano RweZion (women of fellowship). Join us as we delve into the profound significance of modesty, not just as a fashion statement, but as a fundamental aspect of our faith journey and community identity.

πŸ‘— Understanding Biblical Modesty Dressing:
Modesty transcends mere outward appearance; it's a comprehensive lifestyle choice encompassing humility, decency, and respect in our dress, grooming, language, and behavior. Rooted in 1 Corinthians 6:20, "Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit," modesty becomes a virtue that reflects our deep reverence for God and His teachings.

🌺 The Importance of Modesty:
As Ruwadzano RweZion, our attire serves as a visible expression of our commitment to living a life aligned with God's principles. By dressing modestly, we honor not only our Creator but also set a positive example for our community, embodying values of dignity and self-respect.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ Defining Our Appearance as Women of Fellowship:
Our presentation as women of fellowship should radiate grace, dignity, and reverence. We strive to dress in a manner that reflects our love for God, our neighbors, and our church community, showcasing care and intentionality in our attire choices.

πŸŽ€ Guiding Principles for Modest Dressing:
Drawing from biblical teachings and cultural norms, we discern what constitutes modest attire. Our clothing should exude modesty, avoiding styles associated with immorality, and instead emphasizing inner beauty and virtue.

πŸ‘‘ Embracing Our Dress Code:
Our church uniform symbolizes our unity and dedication to our faith community. With pride, we embrace our distinctive attire, recognizing it as a tangible expression of our shared values and identity as Ruwadzano RweZion.

🌟 In navigating the complexities of contemporary fashion, we're reminded that true beauty emanates from within. Our commitment to modesty transcends societal trends, as we seek to embody the timeless virtues of faith, humility, and respect for ourselves and others.

🌿 Practical Tips for Modest Dressing:

Prioritize modesty and decency over fleeting trends
Opt for clothing that is both modest and comfortable, allowing freedom of movement
Embrace classic styles that stand the test of time
Let your inner beauty shine through your attire, reflecting a heart devoted to God and His teachings

🌟 Weekly Focus for Wednesday - 20 March 2024

Dear Beloved Church Members,

We gather once again with hearts full of gratitude to the Almighty God of Zion for His unending grace and guidance. As we eagerly anticipate the forthcoming Sunday School conference, let us align our focus and preparations with His divine will.

1. The Sunday School conference is now before us. As mothers, let us prepare them, allow them to go where God and His Servant are calling them, so that the Holy Spirit will be breathed upon them [John 20 vs 22]

In this pivotal moment, as we prepare our children for the conference, let us recognize the significance of their journey. Despite the timing overlapping with school closures in Zimbabwe and elsewhere, it is essential to heed the divine call emanating from Jerusalem. For when God beckons our children, He bestows upon them blessings beyond measure.

Amidst the prevalent challenges of drug abuse and juvenile delinquency, it is imperative that we entrust our children to the care of the Almighty. None among us can claim immunity from the perils of this world, but through God's intervention, we can nurture a generation grounded in righteousness.

As mothers, let us ensure our children are equipped with the necessary attire, especially uniforms, to serve God wholeheartedly during the conference. For those with medical needs, meticulous arrangements must be made to safeguard their health under the guidance of their appointed guardians.

Awareness Campaign:

Let us diligently uphold the Sunday school sacrifices ordinances, ensuring adherence, banking, and reporting in all regions. Neglecting this responsibility undermines the essence of our collective commitment.

I urge every woman to prioritize attendance at the Big Wednesday for spiritually enriching fellowship.
Let us meticulously prepare our belongings, infusing each item with significance as we embark on this momentous journey.

πŸ“ž +1 (825) 823-7870

Together, let us continue to walk in faith, embracing the path laid before us by the Almighty. May His grace sustain us as we journey onward, united in purpose and devotion.

🌟 Weekly Focus for Friday - 15 March 2024 🌟

Dear Beloved Church Members,

With hearts filled with gratitude for the boundless grace of the God of Zion, we gather once again to center our focus on His divine teachings. Today, our attention is drawn to a vital aspect of our covenant with the Almighty:

1. Honoring the Sanctity of Marriage

In accordance with the sacred scriptures, we are reminded of the importance of fidelity and commitment within the institution of marriage. Whether married or single, let us heed the call to uphold God's divine plan for relationships.

To our beloved married couples, we urge you to cherish the sacred bond of marriage and to remain steadfast in your commitment to one another. Let not the allure of worldly temptations tarnish the sanctity of your union, for God's favor rests upon those who honor their vows with purity of heart.

For those among us who are single, let us pursue relationships guided by the noble intention of marriage. Let us shun the path of promiscuity and instead seek companionship rooted in love, respect, and the desire to build a future together in accordance with God's will.

A Call to Live Righteously

We must heed the warnings against infidelity and deception, for such actions not only betray the trust of our partners but also grieve the heart of our Heavenly Father. Let us strive to lead lives of integrity, mindful of our actions and their impact on our spiritual journey.

As members of the Zion Christian Church, let us embrace the teachings of righteousness and reject practices that dishonor the sacred institution of marriage. Together, let us walk in the fear of the Lord, seeking His guidance in all aspects of our lives.

TOPIC: Overcoming Fear - "The battle is not yours!"

Presenter: Vice Teacher Ruwadzano Mai Mtembo

"Living with fear stops us from taking risks, and if you don’t go out on the branch, you are never going to get the best fruit." - Sarah Parish.

Dear Women of Fellowship,

As we navigate the complexities of life, fear often lurks in the shadows, hindering our progress and stifling our potential. Whether it's fear of loss, fear of change, fear of the unknown, or fear of outcomes, we must confront these barriers with courage and faith.

Ask yourself:

What are you fearful of?
What are you afraid of?
What are you scared of?
What do you fear the most, other than the God of Zion?

Fear breeds doubt, denial, disbelief, mistrust, and negativity. Yet, the greatest triumph over fear lies in the realization that the battle is not ours alone, but belongs to the God of Zion.

In 2 Chronicles 20, we learn of King Jehoshaphat's faith amidst adversity. Faced with overwhelming odds, he turned to God in prayer and fasting. The Lord assured him, "Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s."

We are reminded that God fights our battles:

Without us lifting a finger.
Without us cursing others.
Without us giving up.
As we surrender our fears to God, He orchestrates victories beyond our imagination.

Fear not, for the Lord is with us:

In the midst of storms (Matthew 8:23-27).
In moments of doubt (Luke 1:11-13).
In times of uncertainty (Joshua 1:9).
Just as the bleeding woman found healing through faith (Mark 5:29), we too can overcome fear by clinging to the promises of God.

Living without fear grants us faith, competence, confidence, and peace. Let us pray fervently, seeking God's strength to banish fear from our lives.

🌟 Weekly Chitatu Focus 🌟

Date: 06 March 2024

Dear Beloved Church Family,

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the God of Zion, whose watchful eyes guide and protect us through every trial and triumph. As we gather on this first Wednesday in the month of Christ's persecution, let us direct our focus to a timeless lesson from scripture:

1. Womenfolk, do you know that you can suffer for years with a problem that is solved by just touching the edge of Christ’s garment? (Mark 5:25)

In our journey, we may encounter challenges that seem insurmountable, yet only Christ holds the key to our deliverance. Like the woman who suffered from a prolonged ailment, seeking remedies in vain, until the moment she reached out and touched the hem of Christ's garment (Mark 5:25). In an instant, her affliction was lifted, demonstrating the power of faith and divine intervention.

Here at Zion, we are blessed to embrace the teachings of Christ, which serve as our guiding light amidst life's trials:

i) Helicopter Pledge: A unique vow bestowed upon us by God, signaling a call to salvation for those who believe.

ii) Daily Word: Tune in to our Live Broadcasts, where the healing power of His word is made manifest (Psalms 107:20).

iii) Wednesday Prayer Day: Dedicate yourselves to fervent prayer and fasting, knowing that certain burdens are lifted through unwavering faith (Matthew 17:21, Mark 9:29).

iv) Tithing: Honor the Lord with your tithes, for it is through our faithful giving that His blessings abound (Malachi 3:10).

Dear Mothers, we understand the burdens you carry, the struggles you endure in silence. Yet, resist the temptation to seek quick fixes in the wilderness, for true deliverance lies in the embrace of Christ's grace (Mark 5:25).

Weekly Focus on Masvohwani & Sunday School

Date: 02 March 2024

Dear Beloved Members,

We extend our gratitude to the Almighty God of Zion for His continuous care and guidance as we embark on our Diaspora Round-Up. Our focus for this week revolves around:

1. Masvohwani: Walking in God's Ways [Revelation 26:13]

Do we truly understand that righteousness exalts a nation? However, the ways of life may seem right to man, but God's ways lead to life eternal. Our God delights in those who walk uprightly [Revelation 26:13], with steps ordered by the Lord [Psalms 37:23]. Indeed, Jesus declared, "No one is good except God alone" [Mark 10:18], yet He blessed those hungry and thirsty for righteousness, promising they shall be filled [Matthew 5:6].

Now, when your actions and deeds align with righteousness, they not only please God but also uplift the nation [Proverbs 14:34]. Remember, the wages of sin is death [Romans 6:26].

As Masvohwani of Zion, we are fortunate to have elders who arrive at the summit of wisdom while being physically fit. Their exemplary conduct in upholding moral integrity serves as a beacon, for righteousness is indeed a crown that beautifies one's path [Proverbs 16:34]. Therefore, stay vigilant, whether in moments of leisure or sustenance, lest you be ensnared by sin [Romans 6:1].

For those who seek rest, true rest is found in righteousness.
