About

Amanda was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and after completing high school moved to Montreal where she got a BFA at Concordia university. After many years pursuing a career in art she moved to Victoria BC and graduated from the Academy of Excellence with a diploma in Aesthetics and Spa Therapy. Lash extensions had just started to be offered as a service in Victoria and she had the opportunity to apprentice under a skilled and professional teacher. She completed her apprenticeship and got certified at the top lash schools in the industry. After a few years working as an employee she ventured on her own and created Looking Glass Lashes.

A skilled lash technician is always balancing aesthetics, science and safety. Her art background has created the inspiration to always strive to be better, create the perfect shape and focus on key elements like symmetry, contrast and balance. The science behind a set of lashes includes room temperature and humidity, a fast and efficient application process that insurers the best possible retention. Safety means the integrity of the natural lash is always prioritized and measures are taken to provide the client with the look they desire while maintaining a healthy lash line with no damage. Sanitation and sterilization are always a top priority to ensure the safety of the client and technician. When lashes are done properly with the combination of solid after care a client can wear lashes indefinitely for years not needing any breaks from the service.

On her free time Amanda enjoys spending time pursuing her art and music interests as a hobby. She lives with her adorable cat Ullar and enjoys fitness, nature, travel and spending time in Vancouver with her close friend.
