Just having fun playing with some crystals. The fun part of my job being able to be host to these beautiful crystals and minerals until they find their home.

Chrysocolla has a cyan (blue-green) color and is a minor ore of copper, having a hardness of 2.5 to 7.0. It is of secondary origin and forms in the oxidation zones of copper ore bodies. Associated minerals are quartz, limonite, azurite, malachite, cuprite, and other secondary copper minerals. It is typically found as botryoidal or rounded masses and crusts, or vein fillings.

Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed when lava extruded from a volcano cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. It is an igneous rock. Obsidian is produced from felsic lava, rich in the lighter elements such as silicon, oxygen, aluminium, sodium, and potassium.

The kambaba jasper is a sedimentary fossil of prehistoric algae from billions of years ago. It receives its blue-green color and black spots and swirls from the fossilised algae colonies. This means that it is not actually a type of jasper like the ocean jasper at all. The stone is also referred to as Bambamba, Cumbamba, Kambamba, Kabamba and Kabamby.
