The third instalment of the Signature Stock Series envelops you in Statement Scarves of silk and satin - chiffon and charmuese - to wear as shawls or neckerchiefs or to cover your tresses.

Veritable wearable works of art that might also grace tabletops and walls or serve as curtains.

Sometimes designer pieces in graphic styles emblematic of their age, or abstract expressions in textile form.

Statement Scarves are always great gifts and never take up too much room - so you can never have too many and I always have them in stock online on my shop and in store at Stories & the Past .

This vintage one sold today - a gift for a sister along with one of my handmade vintage greeting cards- but there are lots more available for those special someones- especially you!

Alongside the launch of Violet Reign Vintage in Ramsgate with I'm sharing posts featuring the sorts of things I always feature in my shop.

I love wacky prints and vintage blouses always deliver when it comes to wild designs and colour palettes. I've always got eye-catching prints and interesting silhouettes and fabrics on my mind when out sourcing for tops, and I am on a mission to give yesterday's textile designs some more hours in the sun!

Bold blouses are an efficient and low commitment way to get some strong colours and vintage flavours into your wardrobe without dressing as a decade.

This 1980s silk print has geometric dazzle and a deco tilt and is in pristine condition. Available in my shop and also on the rails at Stories & the Past

Over the next 10 posts I'll be featuring a selection of items that represent categories of and that my customers crave and that I always have in store.

First up: Whether classic or quirky; little or not; black vintage dresses from across the decades and across style spectrums are never out of style.

This one from the late 70s or early 80s made the most of polyester knit to achieve a flattering silhouette with plenty of movement and lots of styling potential. It's been sold via and I'd love to see how its new owner is wearing it. So if it is your new please share and tag!

Violet Reign Vintage in residence at Stories & the Past starts with a warm welcome from who will be sharing smiles and fantastic vintage and antique wares as usual in sunny Ramsgate!

It's been an exciting weekend of setting up shop with the help of and I'm so chuffed with the results especially my maiden window display.

Just a sneak peek for now - but more comimg soon and ill be there to meet all tne lovely vintage lovers that waltz in this Saturday 💜

It's not ONLY about ruffled frocks and kitsch crockery in my corner of the vintage universe - I also love dogs - and paintings by anonymous or obscure artists who paint backgrounds in a shade of green that is like a Venetian canal on a sunny morning. And this delightful oil painting has all that and a handsome wood frame.

Back in 1986 this was smiling at looking at his owner with love and devotion. Adopt his likeness today and smile with love and devotion right back!

Feeling love this week for whose designs I always love when they turn up in my sourcing odysseys.

Established in 1966 by newlywed Marion and David the label aimed to bring the swinging styles of London to Glasgow. Within a few years their initial investment of £50 bloomed into annual turnover of £1 million. They were prolific collaborators with and this dress might be one of their prints.

I love this one so much but as it is not my size its up for grabs on and coming soon to my bricks and mortar establishment with

And I must confess that while researching I ended up buying another Marion Donaldson dress destined for my wardrobe. Might just be my uniform for days meeting all my lovely new customers in Ramsgate this summer!

Shop founder and owner Stacey
has been there for over 4 years and has curated a great collection of vintage clothing and homewares with unique, stylish, and timeless design. She has been shopping vintage since she was very young and in her profession as a drama teacher she often sought out props and costumes for the plays and musicals she directed. This has culminated into a fascinating shop where there is something to capture everyone's eye and imagination!

Irrepressible with these two rayon shirts coming very soon to my shop!

CHIPIE was started in 1967 in Carcassonne, France by teenaged Jean-Michele Signoles who customised American vintage garms before setting up his own factory in 1971 - retaining the American retro styles and updating them for a new generation of sportswear lovers.

These two tops are peak 90s Chipie and are in excellent condition. Green is size Small / Peach Size Large.

Message me if you want to reserve or for more info - and please comment with your memories of this brand. As I honestly never heard of them until I sourced these im curious to know about what Chipie meant to 90s kids in Europe!

Immense thanks to all the beautiful folks who came and shopped well and went home with new treasures yesterday at the yesterday.

We had ample sunshine and superb tunes and it was an absolute joy to be trading amongst so many other fab vendors in my home town by the .

The most covered and ultimately sold item of the day was the Sugar Daddy pajama top and lots of other bold and quitky pieces where whisked off my little (packef) rail!

Its no easy feat to get all those suitcases to the curb and down the cluffside but it was thanks to my amazing Margate mates and (not on instagram) Ben that i made it there and back despite the lack of car or driver's licence 😆
