Please forgive this late post, but we're hoping that you can help support Cheshire Food Drive, Inc. and the Food Voucher Program during the 2024 Great Give! Because of generous donations from people like you, the value of monthly Food Vouchers recently increased from $40 to $60 - this is a huge increase but one that was necessary due to increased food costs.

The Great Give begins tomorrow morning at 8:00 am through Thursday, May 2 at 8:00 pm. Please donate to us directly at: https://www.thegreatgive.org/organizations/cheshire-food-drive
This year we're also one of a select group of organizations working in food insecurity who are eligible to win $1800!

We're grateful for your donations at any time, however please try to help us win $1800 by donating at this specific time:

If we receive AT LEAST 20 UNIQUE DONATIONS, of any amount, we'd qualify to be the one organization randomly drawn to win $1800!

The Cheshire Food Drive is over for 2023! Big thanks to the many scout troops, student groups, local restaurants, individuals, Stop & Shop, First Congregational Church of Cheshire, the Hometown Foundation, and each and every person who donated a food item or some money or spent some time volunteering!
We don’t “celebrate” 50 years of hosting a food drive, but we absolutely celebrate the community spirit of neighbors helping to feed their neighbors.
Thank you for over 18,462 food items donated and thousands of dollars raised to keep funding the town’s Food Voucher Program!

DAY 2
We had a wonderful turnout yesterday, with volunteers on the First Congregational Church green and at Stop & Shop, and so many donations!

It looks like we'll have another amazing day today.

We can't wait to get started at 9:00 and welcome volunteers (of all ages) to date and sort donations. We'll stay on the green until 3:00--or until everything has been boxed up and tucked into the truck so generously donated for the weekend by Bozzuto's/The Hometown Foundation.

Together we can make a difference! Cheshire's community spirit burns bright. Let's fill that truck to help feed our neighbors!

The Cheshire Food Drive is underway! Today food donations from public schools were collected on the Church Green, and they started with a school bus delivery from Dodd Middle School!

Volunteers will be on the Church Green from 9-3 Saturday and Sunday -- please join us! We're looking forward to a very busy weekend and helping us count and sort even for an hour on a beautiful fall day can make a big difference.

The 50th annual Cheshire Food Drive will be held this November 4 & 5 on the Church Green. This event has always been held the first weekend in November, so if anyone (or their parents or grandparents) has pictures of the Church Green in early November from 30, 40, 50 years ago, please share!
