A highlight of our trip to Madison, Wisconsin has been meeting up with friends without any plan! Went for a stroll around the capitol for Madison's Art Fair On The Square and we heard the gorgeous pipes of Kelsey Miles emanating from the stage! Though I hadnt seen her in years since moving away from Madison, I recognized her beautiful voice. What a way to meet up!! Cheers to hearts full of love 💗 and bellies full of seaweed wraps! 🍙 One of our favorite Mindful Meals is to prepare build-your-own veggie wraps. We use organic seaweed sheets (salt and oil-free, steamed rice, raw sliced vegetables, and a ponzu-style sauce (shoyu, lemon or lime juice, wasabi, ginger, water, and a splash of sesame oil). When we slow down to eat, we give our body the space to receive physical sustenance, and non-physical benefits and blessings as well 🥰 This is an enlightening meal and is great for sharing with friends!

Spotlight on Wangari Maathai, founder of the Green Belt Movement and the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. Amazing woman who, rather than sitting at home making noise, went out to get her hands dirty. She planted millions of trees and fought to preserve the earth and communities and life. Feeling inspired by her courage!

Chicken of the Woods mushroom aka sulphur shelf aka Laetiporus sulphureus.🍄 Foraging for food is such a joy in life. It's amazing to find edible plants and fungus growing in the backyard or along hikes, to harvest, and then to enjoy immediately. Do you forage for mushrooms? What have you found this season?
