First of all, I hope everyone has had a fantastic few days of family and celebrations! But I think we can all agree that this week all feel a bit like we're stuck in limbo and your fridge is probably still full of lots of yummy leftovers - GUILTY! 🙋♀️
We've all been there! You've skipped a meal to 'save room' for a big Chrissy lunch and dessert; you probably haven't eaten a solid meal since because the leftovers are just staring at you from the fridge! You may have a few more days off work and it's practically New Years so this week is a write off, right? Many people get stuck in a cycle of overreating and guilt at this time of year and the negative spiral generally carries well into the new year.
I'm here to remind you that today is your opportunity to return to normal. It is important that we continue to fuel our bodies regardless of what we've eaten over the last few days/weeks and there is no need to exercise more to compensate! If you normally get up early to go to the gym, get back into that routine! If you normally eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, try to return to that - but don't forget to sprinkle a couple of those yummy leftovers in there as well! 🥐🍗🎁
Love this idea!

Just found this today.... '90's - The Pro-Am Final (Now known as Superclass in the modern events) at Maryborough BMX Track & the two guys next to each other are yours truly ( #16) & The Man, The Legend MR Racing himself - Mr Mark Rohdmann ( #38) ... I was winding up riding Co-Factory with Maxxim/Beyond at the time, however on Sunday at the start of the day, Mark threw me one of his MR Racing Co-Factory Jerseys & said that should fit you for today buddy, lets go race shall we... From memory Mark won the day & I wound up 6th I think it was...
R.I.P. "Rohdy" - true genuine competitor, good sport & gentleman at the track..
Another trip down memory lane... 1989 Queensland Country Titles in Middlemount... Open Cruiser Class - My Older Brother & I during my MCS Magnum Force Days & probably 20kgs lighter :-)
Courtesy of Corry Cycles - Hamilton island triathlon 🤣
Someone has a sense of humour & is obviously very ambitious to go with it ;-)
ME Racing Components - Stocked at City Centre Cycles ;-)
🚴♂️ Hey Rockhampton Riders! 🚴♀️
Big news! BikeSpot 2023 has hit the Aussie roads, and they need your pedal power to make it a success! 🌟
BikeSpot is a crowd-sourcing bike safety project that was launched in October at Parliament House in Canberra. The project is a collaboration between the Amy Gillett Foundation and CrowdSpot, as part of the Australian Government’s Safe Roads for Safe Cycling Program.
BikeSpot is your chance to map out your cycling adventures – where you feel the wind in your hair or the jitters in your brakes. 🗺️ Let's help create safer streets and smoother rides across the nation!
🗺️ Get on the Map: Head over to bikespot.org and drop those pins! Show us where the ride feels like a breeze and where it's a bit more "hold on tight" 📍🚴♂️
📆 Let's gather our biking tales by January 2024, so we can hand them over to pave the way for safer cycling!
Get on your bikes, Rockhampton! 🌟🚴♂️🚴♀️

One of the most common questions we get asked is, "How old does my child have to be to start training in the gym?" Well it depends on the child!
We have some kids that start strength and conditioning with us as young as 8 while others aren't ready until they are in their early teens and it often has very little to do with the child's physical ability. What we often look for when deciding if a child is ready to join our gym program is emotional maturity and eagerness to learn.
A junior athlete must have the maturity to follow instructions and be coached to keep them and others around them safe - but this doesn't mean the gym can't be fun! Some of the most successful junior programs are the ones that kids get the chance to be kids!
And finally, junior athletes must be willing to give things a go! The easiest athletes to coach are the ones that show enthusiasm in training and are willing to learn new skills!
Every junior athlete's journey is different and we love helping young athletes become confident in the gym setting and have seen this confidence transfer out of the gym and into numerous different sports!
Bundaberg BMX Track - 1989 I think .The Good Old Cane Toad Meeting.. My MCS Magnum Team Days.
Well this is very disappointing... My favourite track & this will now change Sugar City Classic 3 Track :-(
