Meet Jim Thatcher.

Jim ran his first Cap City marathon in 1985 and has run 40 consecutive marathons since then. Jim has made the Cap City marathon a lifelong tradition.

Jim will be running his 41st Cap City marathon in May. We can’t wait to cheer you on, Jim! 🏃‍♂️

What electrolyte & nutrition options are available on the course? We will be offering Ultima (lemonade flavor) and Honey Stinger Gels and chews on the course! 🏃✨

Who loves running marathons? Meet Ron Fowler. AKA “Rochester Ronnie”!

Ron has run 40 marathons since 1983. Ron qualified for his first Boston Marathon in 1984 reaching one of his personal running goals. Ron’s story is one of many that show how the CCM has made a lifelong impact. We will be cheering Ron on for his 41st marathon!

This Veteran's Day, we celebrate our partnership with the Thurston County Washington Veterans Court, which provides community supports and recovery connections, making an enormous difference in the lives of court participants. Through running, court participants can discover how resilient they are, and it's incredible to watch their self-worth grow as the miles fly by. By providing an opportunity to participate in a community event like CCM, court participants are able to build relationships and connections on who they are, not what they've done in the past. Running truly levels the playing field, creates community, and challenges us all physically, emotionally, and personally.

The final event in the Salish Sea Road Race Series is about 4 weeks out. The Royal Victoria Marathon is Oct. 8.
