Is Sleep the Culprit? 15/04/2020

Let's talk about SLEEP (and why not getting enough of it may be doing more harm than you know). Check out this 'semi-sciencey' read about how not enough sleep wreaks havoc on your hormones and body processes.

Is Sleep the Culprit? You’re hitting the gym regularly, but you have yet to see results. Could a lack of sleep be the reason you just can’t get into shape? It’s not uncommon to have kids, multiple jobs, fifty-million things to do around the house, a never-ending list of errands that need to be run, all while making...

I love having clients that work hard and absolutely crush their programs! Only four weeks separate these pictures, and this girl is down a total of 12 pounds in just five weeks. (Did I mention she's doing this all from home?!)

Obsessed with my transformation and the confidence I've gained along the way. In just one year I've opened myself up to learning SO MUCH about taking care of my body and pushing myself to get better. Why not you?! Let's get to work 😊

Been dreading this for a while but I definitely saw it coming, so who am I to complain?! Back in January, I found out I had fractured one of the sesamoid bones in my foot. After a couple weeks on crutches, the pain felt like it had gone away, so I ditched the crutches and surgical shoe and got back to my regular schedule. The pain came back, and instead of returning to the doctor I remained stubborn and convinced myself that everything would sort itself out eventually.
Fast forward 9ish months and an X-ray shows the once fractured bone broken into 5-6 separate pieces.
This is what happens when you DON'T listen to your body and don't put your health over your work and your desire to kill the gym day in and day out. So moral of the story is, your body really is your TEMPLE, so TAKE CARE OF IT!

Felt so good to get out on the driving range and work on my swing this weekend. Getting (a little) more consistent which feels great!
As a perfectionist, golf is absolutely maddening to me. I often expect to pick things up and to excel at them right away. It's a humbling experience to have to work hard at something to see improvement.
Let this serve as a reminder to constantly challenge yourself. Practice things that you aren't particularly good at, and stay on top of it. There's no way to get better unless we are pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone.
Also, pointers welcome! I need them! 😂⛳️
