Great news! We had our first Board of Directors meeting on 8/10/18, and it went without a hitch. We have adopted our policies and procedures and have voted them in. Our next step is completing the administrative requirements of a nonprofit status. We are very close to a full launch of Northeast Oregon Community Partnership. We will be looking for more support and potentially be seeking for specific committees to help in our efforts. Again, anyone seeking more information or have questions, please contact us at [email protected]. We will be continuing to perform weekly updates to inform the community of our progress. Thank you.

Update: We are having our first board of directors meeting this week and we are just about ready to launch. Our next order of business is to work hard to fundraise to help with administrative costs associated with startup. We are very excited to keep building connections and partnerships throughout the process. We have teamed up with NEOEDD (Northeast Oregon Economic Development District) to obtain training for our board members and resources needed. The Grant Ready Workshop that is taking place has been very beneficial. Anyone who is interested in to find out more about our organization is encouraged to leave us a message or email us at [email protected]. Thank you!

Great news! We had our first informational meeting back on July 18th and have voted members in for the Board of Directors. We currently have a committed president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and chair. Those people include Aaron Groshong, Tara Beckham, David Ebel, Aubrey Mijares, and Israel Mendoza. This is a strong community of members who are devoted and committed to helping the organization move forward. We are moving at a great pace and also working diligently on informing the community while also building partnerships.

N.O.C.P. Restoring Lives

Northeast Oregon Community Partnership (N.O.C.P) is a nonprofit organization trying to get funding to assist in our mission of helping those with addiction problems and getting them the help and resources they need in order to successfully recover and become active members of society. Our Mission is to harmonize the health of individuals and families through a system of cooperative services. Inspire and support a network of integrative practitioners who will serve humans experiencing trauma, addiction, or mental disabilities. Teach life-enrichment and economic skills to people and align them with local businesses and institutions. Reduce the negative effects of drug abuse, alcoholism, technology addiction, consumerism and other alienating activities on the community. Create partnerships that nurture restorative life-affirming ties between children and parents, youth and elders, rich and poor, teachers and students, doctors and patients, and men and women.

Our organization purpose is to promote a system of services engaged in restoring the health of individuals, families, and communities while enhancing and nurturing, restorative life-affirming relationships with the earth. Improving the quality of life in Northeast Oregon by creating necessary and alternative systems of service to address mental health issues, as well as teach basic life-enrichment skills and to utilize abilities at every level, valuing the contributions that individuals can make to the betterment of all. We also propose to reduce the negative effects of drug abuse, alcoholism, consumerism and other addictions.

Currently in our, and surrounding communities, the drug abuse is a major epidemic that needs to be addressed. Though we have people in place with the right credentials to help, we do not have the funding or space needed to help these people in their recovery. Some treatment providers will not take people who are addicted to opiates, or alcohol solely. This makes it very hard for those seeking help to get the help they need for we do not have the facilities or services to help them.
