Wow, what an INCREDIBLE ride!
There is certainly a love/hate relationship with this time of year, as all good things must come to an end...

Our 2023 season may not have had the storybook ending we all envisioned....However, without question, it was pretty darn close!!! 💙 These young women poured their heart and soul into this program and season. They bought into the Falcon Volleyball culture, and as coaches, we could not be more proud! To say this season was memorable would certainly be an understatement! There is no question these girls made their mark on Falcon Volleyball...

✔️ Program's FIRST appearance at the NJCAA D1 National Tournament getting seeded 12th out of 16 teams

✔️ Finished regular season ranked 13th in the NJCAA national poll

✔️Finished 3rd in one of the toughest (if not THE toughest) region in junior college volleyball

✔️Consistently took wins over top nationally ranked opponents, including a huge win over #2 ranked Miami Dade on the road

✔️Numerous player of the week honors and record setting stats/ matches

✔️ Four athletes named to the All FCSAA teams
..and countless memories off the court that are sure to last a lifetime!

Man, we are going to miss this crew!!! 🥹 You are all incredible young women destined for greatness - I have no doubt your success journey is far from over! You've made the Daytona State volleyball family proud, and without question, us coaches proud!
..But as we said before, all good things must come to an end... That's a wrap on the historic 2023 season - THANK YOU to our amazing administration, trainers, support staff, bus driver, and our incredible fans (especially those who traveled to Hutch!) we could not have been successful without you!!! 🏐 Now it's onto spring training and prepping for another incredible run in 2024!🫶

A little over 24 hours until we find out the fate of the 2023 season, so in the meantime, can we do another shout-out to our amazing All-Region Team recipients!?

Despite a hard fought battle, the Falcon's FCSAA Region 8 State Tournament journey ended with a 1-3 loss against a talented Polk State College in the 3rd place playoff match. Although the tournament may not have ended in the manner we would have hoped, the team truly has no reason to look back with regret. They battled to the bitter end and had a commendable finish in the toughest region in the nation! As a coach, I couldn't be more proud of these young ladies!!!!

Our future is unknown, but 🤞🤞🤞 the journey is not over! 💙🤍

🏐500 KILLS FOR ABNER🏐

During the opening set of Sunday's match at Howard, Derionah Abner recorded her 500th career kill as a member of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore volleyball team.

Abner, a graduate student from Orlando, Florida, will be honored when the Hawks return home to host North Carolina Central on Friday.
