Hey! Crazy, wild and active. Strong inside and out.
I am Kerttu Kajalainen, a Finnish/ Estonian model! A crazy wild child, spontaneous and adventurous. I smile a lot and I'm as tall as a skyscraper, 182cm! I'm crazy about all kinds of sports and animals. I make the best protein pancakes and I'm a little geek with social media, I make sure that my small camera comes with me everywhere! I'm also a registered nurse and public health nurse. I started m
Smart, intelligent, goofy, funny, athletic, most likely rich (unfortunately not, yet), humble, out going, travels a lot, popular, has many friends, people want to be around her or be her, stunning, beautiful, great eyebrows, probably accepts you on Instagram if she wants, probably has thousand of request and only accepts 400, quiet and loud, good cleaner, good sports player - that’s what urban dictionary says, must be true.
I mean what can I do? 🤷🏼♀️😂

I’m a holiday reader.
I used to read A LOT, but somehow over the years reading got less and less, for no any special reason. I enjoy bying books and I love the idea of reading them. Still, I mostly read when I’m on a holiday - I guess, in general, there’s no time to stop and just read?

When a child comes to this world, she leaves the safe, warm, worryless space of hers and is brought naked to cold outside world, filled with worries. No wonder I’m happiest and blossoming here. 🌸🌿💖

Sun rays, total silence - except playing squirrels and bees, flowers & evergreen garden. The scene was utterly beautiful. It was almost like if inner peace was a place, it would look like this. 🤍

Did you know
•African elephant can be identified by their large ears that look somewhat like the continent of Africa.
•The trunk contains about 40,000 muscles.
•Both male and female African elephants have tusks, which actually are continuously growing teeth.
PS. How many elephants you see on the second photo? 🐘❤️

After summitting Mt Kilimanjaro (and taking a first shower over a week…) it was time to pack again and head to our first game drive! Can you guess all the animals we saw? 🦒

Mt Kilimanjaro, Summit night
Lemosho route
Barafu camp > Stella Point > Uhuru Peak
📍more on the story section
It was almost time. The moment I had waited for years, then later for months and now for a week. Last camp and our last day before the summit attempt was way different than other days and camps before. Our camp was one of the most far away from the summit route start-point - that meaning we first had to go all the way up hill to reach the route. Also our last day schedulewise was very interesting. The moment we arrived to the camp, we had a small break before a lunch. Then we ate, had a health check-up and went back to rest for a couple of hours before a dinner. A lot of eating in a short period of time. After dinner we were suppose to rest or sleep between 5pm till 11pm, but it was impossible to sleep for a numerous of reasons. In between the lunch and the dinner we also had to prepare our gear for the summit attempt. We were scheduled to have a light breakfast around 11pm and then start our way to the summit at midnight. Oh man, first of all, you’re nervous but excited, you’re cold in your tent before you gear up (I had 6 layers on my upper body and 3 layers on my lower body) and till this point you haven’t had a proper sleep for atleast ~18h and the sleep you’ve had has probably been very sh*t. At midnight, backpack ready, clothes on, snacks ready, headlamp ready, water ready and last health check-up - everyone and everything ready. Time for the summit: full moon, clear sky filled with stars, almost no wind, few minus degrees. We were ready.

Mt Kilimanjaro, Day 6-7
Lemosho route
Karanga camp > Barafu camp
📍more on the story section
Things started to get interesting. We only had around ~4km to go, but man, we walked very pole-pole (slowly-slowly), ascended almost the whole time (around 700m) and my avg.pulse was 125bpm - quite high, huh? Altitude at Barafu camp is 4,673m, Lava tower is about the same, a little less. At Lava tower I did not feel too good, I got headache and nausea - but for the Barafu camp I was acclimated quite well. Just some light headache now and then. I was still drinking just water, no Diamox. Though, the moment we arrived to the camp wasn’t exactly the most encouraging. A lot of people were sick or brought down the mountain. Like a scene from a Walking Dead. You know I had been worryless the whole week, really enjoying everyday and every moment I spent on the mountain, but now? That sight was scary and it made me realise - not everyone make it and I could be one of them.
