Atelier Restaurant | Central Auckland > revisiting the rustic lime plastered walls in Atelier restaurant, Karangahape road. Often I don’t get the opportunity to come and visit the finished space where I have worked. Nice to see it in full swing in a vibrant quarter of Auckland. The proprietor’s spec was a rustic Parisian feel.

We taught a 3 day course on exterior lime plastering over straw bale, it's a meditation space built in the style of an iron age round house with straw bale walls and beautifully crafted mortise and tenon frame work, and a reciprocal framed roof.

Our fine textured lime plaster adds the finishing touches to the Kingi's restaurant conference room. Britomart quarter, Downtown Auckland.

This 3 brick tone lime plastered bench kiosk forms the centre piece for the newest Daily Bread cafe experience. Coffee machines, tills , patisserie cabinets to be added. Located in Galway St, Auckland City. Opening soon.

Wax on, wax off
Returning after a month to wax and polish the tadelakt surfaces.

Nature wants to move in already. Stick insects, wasps, swallows, you name it. Time to get the final coat on the outside.

Green lichen on the trees outside was the motivation for colour here, the intensity will drop as it dries over the next few days. Same with the orange terracotta.

Worked in nicely with the high quality solid native timber cabinetry.
