Our Journey

In 2016 we had the opportunity to fulfill a passion of ours in the creation of Blue Moon Street Eats. A food truck with the vision of introducing various street foods to our neighborhood. We began with our first street food straight off the Minnesota State Fair Midway. Fudge Puppies. While we used the same equipment and basic process, we didn’t want to do an exact copy. We had to put our own touch and flair to them. We then built on the success of our Fudge Puppies and started searching for our next street food. We had to look no further than our neighbors to the south. What could be a more original street food than the elotes vended by the elotero? Again, we took the basic concept then developed our own individual recipe and method. Using fresh corn roasted onsite and our specially blended sauce it was an instant hit. Now granted, we have a very small food truck and do not have room for a huge menu. But we felt we needed one more street food to complete our vision. Due to our local farmers market being full the opening weekend, we had to set up out in the parking lot on the hot asphalt. It was then the idea for our last street food came to me... Ice Cream! But not just any ice cream. It had to be unique, flavorful, and interesting. It had to be Italian Gelato. Within two weeks we had the equipment sourced, up and running, and our first flavors developed. We introduced it at our local farmer's market and quickly realized there was a local craving for true Italian style Gelato. We began producing small batch Gelato and Sorbetto weekly with all fresh ingredients, no pre-mixes allowed. With the growing demand for our Gelato and Sorbetto products, we realized we needed to establish a brand that would communicate the fulfilling of that local craving and allow for future growth in that side of the business. Arrivato Gelato was born. Arrivato translates from Italian to English as “Arrived”. True Artisanal Gelato has now arrived in Paris, TX! We are now serving fresh scooped Gelato and Sorbetto from our food truck, along with prepackaged single servings to take home and enjoy later.
