Has it happened to you that you couldn't remember the steps that you learned in class and repeated many times? ➡️ It is important to learn and practice new movements not only by looking in the mirror, but also "from the mirror". In this case, the information is perceived much better. That's why we practice steps "from the mirror" or in a circle in classes.

Yesterday was a very good first solo salsa lesson for beginners. Thanks to everyone who came! Honestly, I didn't expect so many people to come at such a late hour. Thank you for your interest to salsa and kind words after the lesson! I really hope that you will find the energy to take lessons at such a late time (9 pm), I have a lot to share with you and I really want you discover that the horizon of solo salsa is very wide and the way there is fascinating!

This home video was made for our chat of girls who signed up for the solo bachata lady style group. It is important to me that classes are useful, understandable and leave new knowledge for students. I collect the best experience of other teachers (because I learn continuously myself) and come up with my own explanations that allow me to explain complex movements simply. This is the scheme of basic armwork in bachata. The general important rule is that the arm work comes from the work of the body, arm work is interconnected with body work. Proper body work is based on proper footwork and it takes time to learn this coordination. However, dance instructors can help beginners by explaining the hand movement pattern to give a general picture of the movement. ❗️If you want to understand how to do complex movements and have simple explanations, come to my classes! Registration for the new Bachata Lady Style group (beginners) is open now.

The second salsa private lesson for Silvia and Rene. We analyzed the scheme of steps, the principles of leading and following, performed the steps with the metronome and after that, when the guys understood the timing of the basic steps, they danced to the music. They practiced the steps at home after the first lesson. We always record a video at the end of the lesson so that you can remember what you learned in the lesson. Practice is very important for progress! Excellent result for the second lesson! The video was posted with their consent.

This is a part of a private lesson when we worked on timing. How to dance to music and keep the timing? A simple exercise: perform all the steps with a metronome. Professional musicians use the metronome to learn new melodies and practice. Dancers also deal with music. Using a metronome allows your body to learn proper timing. We are not limited to the rhythm of 1.2.3,5,6,7 and can perform steps beating other instruments. But first we need to teach the body the basic rhythm. Next, we can take an application with the sounds of instruments and play with other rhythmic patterns.
