Herb Garden (Bristol, UK)
{The} Herb Garden {Quartet} are a p***y rock band formed in Bristol, UK, most active 'twixt 1987-'94, Perhaps less is more?
Herb Garden worked - nay, laboured - for several years in the riff-pits of the late '80s to mid '90s... Some bits got knocked off the music as well as the name. From 2014 we are bringing out new albums and recommend you check out new material from the HG Music Shed. Even the stuff on the Compost Heap could be good stuff. Our first new release in 20 years was released in May 2014. To find out more

"Our old buddy the bomb got blowed up. We're bereft. It was a friendly, common or garden whizz-bang. We used to tap our trowel on it for good luck. It was only a bit of unexploded, misplaced military ordnance. Where's the harm in that? It's wokery gone mad"

Milford Haven: Garden ornament turns out to be live bomb Sian and Jeffrey Edwards had always assumed the 64lb projectile in their garden was a "dummy".

Actually ... nab our thing tomorrow. It can wait. Resist the urge today.
This Friday, November 24th, you have one simple task: BUY NOTHING.
Resist the deep-seated lure of things you donβt need, the short-lived excitement of novelty, the fleeting illusion of control.
That involuntary impulse is fueled by the endless drone of every last ad, email, commercial, and celebrity, all whispering coded instructions into your ears to buy buy buy.
Resist.

"Jesus. Fu**in' raging, epithet music comin' out of every car, every store, every person's head. They don't have noisy radios on, they got earphones; like, "motherf**kin', cocksuckin', son of a bitch. Lot of aggression. Lot of anger, lot of rage. Everybody walks around, they're walkin' advertisements. They've got advertisements on their clothes, you know? Walking around with "Adidas" written across their chests, '49'ers on their hats. Jesus. It's pathetic. It's pitiful. The whole cultures' one unified field of bought-sold-market researched everything, you know. It used to be that people fermented their own culture, you know? It took hundreds of years, and it evolved over time. And that's gone in America. People now don't even have any concept that there ever was a culture outside of this thing that's created to make money. Whatever's the biggest, latest thing, they're into it. You just get disgusted after a while with humanity for not having more, kind of like, intellectual curiosity about what's behind all this jive bu****it". [R. Crumb in 'Crumb', 1994]

Due to contractual issues, 'Bohemian Raspberry' never got released. And - Bohemian or otherwise - you'll all know what it feels like to not release a Raspberry ... Sadly, thanks to those ongoing, legally-binding, contractual obligations, we are STILL not allowed to release a recording of this song or even perform it to a live audience. Can you believe that?? π€·ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ
