May preparations ka rin bang ginagawa? Tanungin din natin minsan sarili natin. Wag puro duniya plans lang. Mag-invest kadin para sa Akhirat mo oh. Napaka'iksi na ng buhay ngayon.”

Evaluate yourself, what have you done for your Akhirah lately?

O‘ traveller of this Duniya, you are nothing but a number of days. Do not neglect the one that is going to last to something that is temporary.

Never get tired of trying to be the best version of yourself. No matter how many times you fall and fail, get up and try again. Again and again. Don’t let anyone make you feel that you ain’t getting better, its on you to work on, not theirs. Even the most righteous people struggle to work on themselves.

Abd-Allah ibn al-Mubaarak said:
"The souls of righteous people in the past used to push them to do good deeds, but our souls do not do what we want them to do except by force, so we have to force them."

Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz said:
"The best of deeds are those which we force ourselves to do."

Muhammad in al-Munkadir said:
"| struggled against my own self for forty years until it became right."

So whenever you feel like things get harder, remember that you have a Rabb who appreciates seeing you trying despite the struggle.

“Do not let the things that you want make you forget the things that you have”

Someone has a family, but struggles with wealth. Someone has wealth, but struggles with having a child. Someone has both, but struggles with time.

Someone wants a spouse, yet forget that he / she has time to do whatever thy want. Someone wants a better life, yet forget that he / she has a righteous spouse and children.

Life’s like this. You can never have it all. But you will always have that something that others want to have. That is Allah’s ni’mah (mercy) on you. Try to look at your life in a bigger frame, you will see. That you have been complaining about certain things, yet you forget that you have more. More than you ever need.

“Surely, Allah is gracious to people, but most of the people are not grateful.” [Quran 2:243]

Be contented with what Allah offers you, and He will give you more. Because when you are grateful and contented, everything will be sufficient for you.
