✨❤️🥰 my BABY boy will be arriving in 12 DAYS (or less!!) and keeping my feet up is becoming a daily practice 👶🤘 all my critters are enjoying this tremendous couch we have, and I’m getting lots of cuddle time in with them ❤️🐱🐱🐶

We had a yard sale today, making room for the huge pile of baby stuff that needs to be put away. We’ve also been renovating our master bedroom, so we’re living in what will be the nursery…hopefully the baby will give us a few more weeks to knock things out 😂❤️🙏

I had my very last singing lesson this week, until after the baby comes 🥰❤️ My abdominal muscles no longer do what I tell them to at this point anyhow. I can play guitar standing up (with my guitar swung to the right side of my enormous belly), at least until my ankles start hurting…😩😂

✨🎶 I admit, it took me a long time before I discovered the beautiful folk music of Gordon Lightfoot 🙏 The tapestry of his masterful lyrics and gentle guitar work left an impression on me. He achieved what all songwriters hope to become, even a fraction of: the universal. There is a Lightfoot song for everyone.

I was graciously invited by LA legend Carla Olsen (The Textones) to record a cover of “Carefree Highway” for an all-female tribute record of Gordon Lightfoot works of art. I thought the lyrics were sad, and I decided to do a different, darker, morose take on his classic hit.
