Wake Up To Worship
Meditating on God's Word one verse at a time
Hi friends 👋 It’s been a while since I have posted. There are two new posts on the blog for you to check out. They should also be on YouTube soon. Have a blessed Sunday! Praying for you 💕 Wakeuptoworship.com
My Pastor read Psalm 22 at tonight's Good Friday service. Below is the first 5 verses, please read it in it's entirety when you can. It will encourage your heart.
Sometimes we just need to breathe. I have been teaching my boys combat breathing when they get upset. It’s hard to do at first but by the end we are laughing. Stopping to breathe when our emotions overtake us is such a good skill. This is a poem I wrote about 3 years ago and thought I would share it. It reminds me to breathe in the presence of God so I can be filled with His goodness:
Let us breathe in You and out your Mercy
Let us breathe in You and out your Grace
Let us breathe in You and out your Peace
Let us breathe in You and out your Kindness
Let us breathe in You and out your Patience
Let us breathe in You and out your Understanding
Let us breathe in You and out your Heart
Let us breathe in You and out your Words
Let us breathe in You and out your Thankfulness
Let us breathe in You and out your Love
Have a blessed week! 💗

God calls us by name.
God hears us. He sees us. He knows us. Take time today releasing your worries to him and be refreshed in his presence.
The New Living Translation reads: “It is done! I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the fountain of the water of life without payment. He who conquers shall have this heritage, and I will be his God and he shall be my son.”
My church is having a building campaign and there has been a prophetic word about water which also shows Gods sense of humor since the church never thought they could build on the land due to a creek running through the property. Plus, the church has flooded about a dozen times. Then, the week before the plans are to be submitted to the city for approval they found out the dirt the new church will sit on is saturated with water that is 15 feet deep which will cost an extra million dollars for lots of gravel. So tonight when I was reading, I came across the above verse and to me it is a promise to the Square Church that God will give from the fountain of the water of life without payment. Meaning God will provide for this building project for the community of Smyrna.

Back in 2017, I read God has a Name by John Mark Comer and I was hooked. Pastor Comer takes simple ideas and makes them complex by breaking them down and apart so the truth comes clear. So, I was excited to get a copy of his new book and it did not disappoint. It was about how to actually follow Jesus as your Rabbi. It takes you step by step on how Jesus calls us. He shares what it looks like to follow Jesus on a daily basis and how to do it. Also if you’re fan of Dallas Willard, then you will love this book!
This verse was on a sticky note on my desk for years. I have read it and read it some more so it would be the outcome for my life.
Soak up Scripture. This is a good one to carry with you and think about.
Sunset walk in the neighborhood while listening to John Mark Comer 🙂
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Hebrews 10:23
Give thanks to God! Happy Thanksgiving 🧡💛
Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Have you ever wondered what God’s will was for your life? It’s a term Christians seem to say a lot. Well, this verse holds the secret. Be joyful, pray, and be thankful. It seems too easy but I believe it’s the best foundation to have a God-centered life.
How can you have this attitude of joy, prayer, and thankfulness? Start by reading the Bible daily and meditating on what it says day and night. God will bring everlasting joy into your heart. Praying to God will form a deep relationship with Your Creator. Your heart will then overflow with thankfulness. Your life will bring glory to God in all you do and say.
Lord, let us have a heart to study your word and grow closer to you daily so our lives overflow thankfulness for what you have done. Amen. ♥️
Good morning! Say something you are thankful for! It will make you have a better day 😊
Read this in my morning study and knew I had to share.
A little peaceful stroll around the neighborhood this morning before starting school. Of course, we talked about baseball and I got quizzed on the name of the 2nd baseman for the Nationals. He had to tell me twice so I didn’t pass. Thankfully, he did pass his reading quiz and LA quiz today 💙⚾️ 📚
It’s okay to share your feelings with God. He gave us feelings and he knows we live in a broken world that tears us apart sometimes. God can handle your burdens and will put your heart back together ❤️Pray with me. Lord, thank you for this season of life. Thank you for always being there for me even when I don’t realize your presence. I know you are in all things so please take my burdens and replace them your peace. Thank you for your presence and let your light shine in my life. Let my life glorify you in all I say and do. Amen.
