I am wife to a Carpenter/Pastor husband, with two sweetheart kiddos, 6 months and 4 years of age. I love to cook, garden, renovate, and when I get a moment of spare time, draw or throw some paint on a canvas. I love to paint and design, bringing life to tired walls and changing the story of a space. Design is an opportunity to tell a story. What is your story about?

Working on a special project over the next few weeks. Carman MCC Thrift Shop has comissioned a new exterior mural, designed by Justin Petkau. Today the colour begins, and when you can start your day off with purple, you do!

This cozy living room had quite the change! Going from a warm brown on all walls and a beige ceiling to OC-22 Calm wrapped around the whole space. The fireplace also saw a facelift, receiving a white wash treatment. And why not have a pop of colour in your bookshelf!

If you find yourself having to select a colour for your space, give this video a watch. The Paint People is a channel I regularly enjoy, and I have to say I personally agree with most everything said in this video. Like they say, there are no bad colours, but it might be an opportunity to stretch outside the box.
