Sam's Song of the day

So because I felt like it here's my 5 favorite of the year in no order with a brief one off description (playlist in the comment section):

-"Nowhere, Ohio," Can't Swim
Been listening to these guys for a few years now and while the album this song is from Thanks But No Thanks isn't as good as their 2022 offering change of plans its a damn good one with this being my most listened to song of the year, very much a good rock cut that has a great scream at the climax.

-"The Worst person alive," G Flip

Another random find from a few years ago G is a solid pop act that had an okay album with a few other solid poppy fun tracks that explore being sad, h***y, and q***r af but this little rock cut stood out the most with the perfect blend of bad ass drumming and solid pop hooks I listened to it quite a bit and hearing them yell "well that just fu***ng hurts," is fantastic give them a listen they're fun.

-"Solo," Hunny

I saw these guys open for bleached Halloween at the tank room and they where cool then a few years later when me and my wife started dating I re-explored their now expanded catalog and was like, "damn wish I'd of followed these guys more," cause they're quite good and the record they dropped this year is loaded in a bunch of Y2K rock goodness with this song being particularly bad ass.

-"Gans Media Retro Games," Hot Mulligan

This band fu***ng slaps and I'm a make sure to see them live cause God fu***ng damn it they where one of my bright spots of 2020 and their newest release this year very good well worth dealing with the long ass titles.

-"Heavenly Petticoat," High Sunn

This guy is my wife's favorite and this album and song may make him your favorite to, high sunn is a lo-fi indie artist making some super dreamy indie rock that has energy and actually fu***ng rocks and seeing him live was absolutely fu***ng phenomenal and everyone who didn't go missed out and their life is significantly worse because of it. This album and song are both fantastic and stop what your doing and go listen to them now ya bastard.

There ya go 5 songs that came out this year that I liked have a fantastic 2024.
