s. Starting as a small concierge company in Nantucket MA, 2007 - The demand was seen for renting baby equipment, the business "Petite Travelers of Nantucket" was then established at the beginning of 2008 and continues to have one good year after another. "Petite Travelers" is excited to expand our family run business into Vermont in 2014! A little about Bethany Hall, Petite Travelers Vermont
I grew up in Keene New Hampshire just minutes from Vermont. In my late teens my family relocated to Southern Vermont and I graduated from a small high school with a class of 60 students. I knew after living in the area for a short time that I didn't want to leave Vermont, its small town atmosphere was welcoming and I wanted to make it my permanent home. I then attended Castleton State College, located in Central Vermont, close to both Killington Mountain and Okemo. It was at Castleton that I met, lived with and became sorority sisters with Rebecca Mailloux the founder of Petite Travelers. I graduated in 2006 with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice. At the time of my college graduation I met my husband Nathaniel Hall, a 10th generation Vermonter, entrepreneur and amazing father to a 6 year old little girl. Nathaniel lived and worked in Putney Vermont running his business Everyone's Drumming, custom hand made drums. After a year of dating we were engaged and in 2008 we were married at Scott Farm a historic 571 acre farm in Dummerston Vermont. During this time I worked for a non-profit agency running a restorative justice program for youth on probation and later working as a substance abuse counselor at a Vermont High School. In 2010 my son was born and our lives where changed. Our family of three turned to four and Nathaniels daughter, at the time 10 years of age, welcomed a baby brother. We found the best choice for our family was to leave my career behind me for a while and become a full time mother. In 2012 our daughter was born and our family was complete. I love and cherish my time with my children. We spend much of our time visiting local farms, attending farmers markets and generally enjoying all Vermont has to offer. Our family enjoys camping, snowboarding and Vermont's "phinest" band Phish. We enjoy our lives in rural Vermont and find peace in our small community.
