I'm a Christian singer-songwriter based out of Sioux Falls, SD. I'm inspired to write music about my story, my relationship with the Lord so that it can somehow relate to your story and bring you closer to the Lord.
Tonight, I’m down on USDs campus leading a worship night! Big thanks to my childhood classmate Lisa Heffernan for inviting me. We graduated from Pierre together 18 years ago and hadn’t seen each other since!
I just can't stop thinking of promises, today...God's promises! Promises that I trust and believe with my heart but I haven't seen with my own eyes, yet...
Romans 10:9 -- "If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
John 14:3 -- "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."
John 3:16 -- "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life."
Romans 6:3-4 -- "Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."
1 Peter 1:3 - "Because of His great mercy He has given us a new birth in a living hope through the resurrection of the dead."
John 11:25-26 -- "Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
My dad raised me to know and trust these promises, just as he did. And three years ago, today, he saw these promises fulfilled with his own eyes! I'm thankful to my Savior, Jesus, that His promises are true and I cling to them every single day. And if you don't know these promises, know that they are also for you! This living hope can only be found in Jesus, the One who offers you forgiveness of sins and new life in Him! You too can stand in the promises of Christ knowing that not even death will separate you from Him!
I miss my dad very much...but I know where he is and I know who he is with. And I can't wait to see these promises with my own eyes when I see him again.
He is the One we've been waiting for! Happy Palm Sunday

Jacob Daniel - Get Your Hopes Up || Music Room Sessions
A few quick reminders on an exciting week!
It's time to share another song in the Music Room Sessions!
This Friday at noon, I am releasing a brand new song called "Get Your Hopes Up" recorded from the music room in our home.
As we look around the world today, there seems to be one thing that people feel is in short supply: hope. So much bad news. So much pain. So much sadness. Is there really anything that we can put our hope in? Because in the end, aren't we just setting ourselves up for disappointment? But in Jesus we find Good News that paints a much different picture. In Him, we find hope regardless of our circumstances. Hope that won't disappoint because it's built on a foundation that will never fail. Hope that gives us victory over sin and ultimate victory over death! If your hope is in Christ, do we really have anything to fear?
So, Christians...go ahead and get your hopes up! 'Cause our God will never fail you! Hear the new song this Friday at Noon : )
Performing at beautiful Grace Lutheran Church this morning. Funny thing is that I pass this church every day on my way to work but have never been inside. Looking forward to it!
Our King Has Come - Jacob Daniel | Music Room Sessions
Tomorrow, we will be releasing an acoustic version of a new Palm Sunday song "Our King Has Come". As a worship leader at my church, Palm Sunday was always one of those weeks that I was searching for a song that fit, but could never really find one that I loved. So...I figured...why don't I give this a try?
This will be the first video in a group of videos called the Music Room Sessions, where I will record simple tracks from my music room at home of new songs that I haven't recorded yet.
Looking forward to sharing it with you!
Luke 19 - The name Zacchaeus, in Hebrew, means “clean and pure”.
As a hated tax collector, every part of his life pointed to something else. He taxed his own people for the good of the enemy Romans and profited from their loses. Of all people, surely he was not worthy of Jesus' pursuit. There are times in our own lives where we feel the same way. Because of our sin, we feel unworthy of the attention or even a small glimpse of the Savior. No matter who you have been or what you have done, our Savior is pursuing your heart, seeking you out, so that you too can be rescued. We all still struggle with sins and wrestle with the evil that this world tries to entangle us with. But Jesus is pursuing you. He calls you by name, out of darkness and into His forgiving presence. He doesn’t care if you were a tax collector, a thief, or whatever else...but He knows that you are His. Like Zacchaeus, may we hear His daily call of repentance and follow Him into the hope of loving arms; into the hope and security of having our sins forgiven so that we too may trust and know that we have been made clean and pure.
2021 was supposed to be a year of growth in my music.
It was the first year in 10 years that I wasn't coaching. I was excited to eliminate one thing from all the busyness so that I could focus more on what I truly loved: music. I was going to play more. I was going to book more shows. I was going to learn how to play guitar and piano better and improve my singing. I was going to write tons of music. But to say that it was quiet year would be an understatement. I was slow to invest time and energy and drug my feet in many ways. Some opportunities to perform came, but they either didn't work with schedules or people never followed up. Something felt wrong. I wondered if I should do this anymore. But through all of this, God helped slow down my life and focus on Him so that I could pour into my ministry at the church and more importantly, the ministry of my family. He continued to teach me what this was all about. If He is glorified through a song that I write in the stillness of my home, that is good. If one person hears the hope of Jesus through something I create, that is good. Because of this, I feel a renewed energy to create, write, and share what God has put into my heart. That is why I love to do this. I know Jesus, personally, and I love Him, and I know that He loves me. He has been and continues to be faithful to me, through the good and the bad. Through my fears and uncertainties, He has been the constant. Jesus is working and speaking in my life, and nothing else gives me a greater sense of joy and purpose than sharing the Hope of Salvation, only found in Him, through music. So, whatever it is, I look forward to what He has in store for me this year.
If you are wanting music for an event, big or small, full band or just solo, at your church or in your house, I would love to speak with you on how I can help. I would enjoy the opportunity to partner with you in telling people about the best news ever...Jesus!

To God be the glory!
"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty of heaven."
Hebrews 1:3
Christ, the SAVIOR, is born! Merry Christmas!
