When contacted me to create these custom pieces for her author photos for her first book, I couldn’t have been more honored and excited. My first thought after speaking with her was “this is what Acid Queen is all about”. Her new (and hopefully first of many books) is entitled Keys to the Moon and it’s a romantasy about a priestess on a forgotten island.

You know what they say, the devil is in the details..

And that’s what our jewelry is all about. At first glance you may just see the overall design and immediately become attracted to it. But it’s what lies in the details that truly brings the magic to life.

From the shapes and curvature of our designs, to the numerology infused into our ball detailing, and stone choices and combinations, each element is a highly important piece to the puzzle.

This piece is all about the design and how it highlights our stone combination which includes two Root chakra stones amplified by quartz for a true power piece and protective shield.

Red Jasper: a root chakra stone connected with the element of earth is known as the ‘supreme nurturer is highly protective whole stimulating your energy and stamina.

Garnet: Connected to the root and heart chakras is connected to the sun and fire element. It is known to bring good luck and fortune especially in the realm of love. A grounding stone known for igniting passion, commitment and hope.

and Quartz… the master healer that amplifies energies and protects our energy.

The plant world is just as vast and magickal (if not more so) than the world of gemstones. As we talked about with ferns, many plants have both physical and metaphysical healing properties. Not only that, different plants are often associated with particular planets, elements, zodiac signs and spiritual symbolism.

Lemon Balm is associated with water and the moon and is often used for its calming effects. In fact it’s been used as far back as the Middle Ages to reduce stress and anxiety, promote sleep, improve appetite, and ease pain and discomfort from indigestion. Its energy is feminine and often associated with the zodiac signs of Leo, Cancer and Pisces.

It has a calming aroma and much like quartz with other stones, it can amplify the effects of other herbs. In magick, lemon balm is evocative of strong emotions. It is used in love magick to attract love and heal broken hearts.

Let’s talk about Ferns baby 🌿

Just like gemstones, plants possess their own healing properties and very special kind of magick. They have been a longtime source of deep inspiration for me which is why I’m ecstatic to bring this collection to life. The plants I chose to honor and highlight in this collection are ones that I have long adored and use or grow in my daily life, and most of which grow wild where we live.

Ferns have a rich symbolism and cultural significance often being associated with endurance, resilience, and new beginnings.

Unlike other flowering plants, they use spores for reproduction and have been around since prehistoric times. We know of around 20,000 species of ferns, most of which are known to be natural air purifiers.

As mentioned above, ferns have often been associated with endurance due to their ancient lineage and ability to adapt to many different types of environments.

During early growth fern leaves emerge from fiddleheads, gradually unfurling into their new final form. Because this they are also associated with new beginnings, transformation and adaptability to change.

In Victorian times they were often exchanged as gifts to convey genuine feelings and honest emotions. In other cultures they were seen as conduits to abundance. In fact according to an old folk legend, the fern is said to bloom for just one night during midsummer. The tale suggestions that discovering this fern flower on that particular night brings a lifetime of wealth and happiness.

We actually make quite a bit of custom pieces but I don’t tend to share them often because it’s important to me to let my customers to have their time with their jewelry before they are shared with the world.

However has given me permission to share this special project with and im thrilled because it was an honor to make these for her!

Jessica contacted me to create a custom set of jewelry for a photoshoot she is creating to go along with the release of her book that she has been working on for 4 years- which is an amazing accomplishment on its own.

This set was to consist of 2 rings and a pair of earrings that would be companion pieces to a quartz necklace she bought to go along with them.

Each step of the way we collaborated to bring her vision to life, which is one of the reasons I actually love doing custom work. There’s something so magical about envisioning something and having it become a reality. (Check out yesterdays reel to see unboxing video)

One of the things I love about living up on the mountain is being able to watch each seasons unfold day by day. It’s not something I really got to experience growing up in LA but it has become something I almost crave.

But you obviously don’t have to live in the mountains to appreciate nature and the changing seasons. it’s all about taking time and putting intention to it and it’s becsome the main way I ground myself when I’m feeling overwhelmed. I mean have you ever hugged a tree? There’s definitely something to it 😂

I chose to use Amber to connect to both earth energies and the tree spirits. Even though it is considered to be a gemstone, the origin of Amber is fossilized tree resin. It is the lifeblood of ancient trees and it brings all that energy with it into the here and now. It infuses us with a sense of nourishment, awakens our sacral chakra, and gives us all the tools and empowering vibrations we need to heal ourselves fully.

✨ I have my favorite trees and plants that I watch go through the cycle of life each year, and this necklace is an homage to the oak trees of the mountain. Big, old and wise..

Our newest collection ‘Ostara’ inspired by by Sprint and Earth arrives two weeks from today Friday, May 10th at 10AM Pacific 🌳

Last year I created a collaborative Artist Campaign called ‘Live in your Magic’. The idea was to partner with creators that I loved and asked them to produce a photoshoot using our jewelry that showcased how they “lived in their true magic”. 💫

🤦‍♀️ Grappling with the fact that I am just one person last year, I had to let some of my favorite projects go. But I hope to bring this campaign back eventually.

🫶 Not only does this partnership foster impactful collaborations within our community, but the idea itself opens up a space to honor ourselves in the way that feels most truthful and authentic to our very being.

I was very selective when choosing the stones for this Collection. I sought gems that not only embody the seasonal energy and elemental magic of water, but also could enhance your ability to connect to introspection and renewal.. so let’s get into it!
