Let’s welcome in Spring at the second annual SBW ‘Sunset Sips’ event. Head to for more info and link to buy tickets.

Last year’s event was so much fun and this year is set to be even better!

Bangalow Film Festival 2023 01/02/2023

This year’s Bangalow Film Festival was such a great success.

The opening party was such fun and I was able to attend a few screenings. Blaze the Film was my favourite - heavy and hard-hitting, and an amazing Australian film.

A big thank you to the organisers for producing a fantastic local event. I’m honoured to play a small part in making it come to life, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store BFF2024 🌴

Bangalow Film Festival is in full swing, with only 3 days left to see some of the fantastic films being shown.

Full program available online and tickets can be pre-purchased via the website (see link in their bio).

As a proud sponsor for the second year in a row, I’ve attended one screening so far… there are so many good ones to choose from, but I have managed to narrow it down to 3 more I plan to see, including the 25th anniversary screening of the Aussie classic, ‘Strictly Ballroom’ and Kathryn Del Barton’s ‘Blaze’.

If you plan on attending, make sure you also say hi to my little bro Jay from and grab one of their ‘Directors Cut’ beers at the festival bar on your way in.

There is also a Festival Hub where you can meet up with your friends prior to screenings.

Sydney, thank you for such a warm welcome 😍

My process when designing is a lot like like packing for a trip: throw in all the ideas/clothes, try a few things and see if they are a good fit for the occasion and conditions and bounce a few concepts off trusted others, the messy middle, then begins the culling, the styling, curating and refining. Finally a few chosen pieces neatly arranged, packaged and ready to go…

So I’m off for an extended weekend away. I’m going to see my youngest sing at the Sydney Opera house. What an honour. I’m so excited!

I’ll be back in the studio on Wednesday.

Come join me this week at the Ballina Hub.

For this month we have opted to host an informal catch up to give women in business in the Ballina Shire a chance to connect with committee members and other local businesswomen.

Stay tuned for October and November as we have some great speakers lined up for our upcoming monthly Hubs.

Being a creative in business also means making time for play. Where I live, weekends in winter look like this, so it doesn’t take much encouragement to get out from behind my desk and out into the sunshine… 🐬🐳☀️

Today is National Sorry Day, in acknowledgement and remembrance of the ‘Stolen Generations’ of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who were forcibly removed from their families and communities.

Today in Australia, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children are still 10.6 times more likely to be removed from their families than non-Indigenous children.

This is a shameful reality that forms part of our collective national identity and we need to do better to change it.

Please share a moment with me in reflecting on the intergenerational trauma that this presents for an important portion of our country, and asking ourselves how can we help to change this? It begins with awareness and acknowledgement.

I am sorry.
