These are some great words of encouragement that I’ve gotten from various critique partners this week.

At any point in the afternoon you can find me in this chair on Daisy’s patio, working on my newest novel - a story close to my heart.

As I read through the chapters, I realize that this is a face I often make while I ponder on the best way to communicate Perry and Will’s thoughts.

Writing Perry’s journey to learning how to stand up to her toxic parents has been emotionally tough - and yet so rewarding. Watching her grow into her own person is a great reminder why I became a writer.

ACE OF HEARTS is dedicated to children everywhere with toxic parents and the found family that supports them. 💕 (And my husband- my very own Will Campbell!)

We are BUSY over here! 🎊 I am deep into the writing stage of my next sport romance novel and fully plotted out on the Breaking Barriers series 💕

But I think we’re all most excited for my romance “Oceans 8” style mystery book 😂

A few weeks ago I started suffering from severe tension/stress headaches. Between editing a book, starting a new one, a promotion at my day job (shout out to my boss tho!), and managing my author social media accounts, I found myself cancelling on my friends and ignoring my mental health just to stay afloat.

I’m really glad I took these last two weeks off to reset. I took time off of work. I put the writing down. I watched ridiculous Netflix movies, went on date nights, spent way too much money at Disneyland, and even attended the world’s weirdest Bingo Rave.

To my friends (who are also my ) thanks for letting me release my inner child the last few weeks.

Feeling so refreshed and excited to get back to my latest novel! 💕

(And shoutout it to all of the Bookstagrammers who reached out to me! Your support was so heart warming!)

I worked so hard on this cover and to see it life size in my house is just incredibly rewarding! I always knew I wanted Georgia front and center. While it’s a romance book, her struggle and growth is what transcends “A Man’s World” into something close to my heart.

HAPPY (late) INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY!

Why is it the best holiday do you ask? Because it’s also my birthday ☝️💃👏🏻 Shout out to my parents for having enough foresight to birth their daughter on March 8th 🤣 Not sure they quite envisioned the spicy romance author part of that story… 😉

Spent the weekend wine tasting at a replica of Snow White Cottage and it was beautiful! A lovely day or rest and relaxation … and now to get my final round of edits over to my agent!

✨ Even as a child, reading was one of my all time favorite activities. With children’s books like The Famous Five, Nancy Drew and Watership Down, it was hard not to love the incredible worlds and characters that those authors created for children. Without those books, I never would have fallen in love with writing - and my own collection of books would be merely a dream, instead of an incredible journey I get to share with you all.

As literacy rates become stagnate (or drop in some areas), it’s becoming more important than ever to promote children’s books and school book programs, because without them, we won’t get the next generation of authors!
