Creating texture, color and “innerscapes” with warm wax
& mixed media!
I create encaustic (beeswax + damar resin) paintings, monoprints and art assemblage in my beautiful studios in the Pacific Northwest of Washington State, and in the beautiful Spanish Colonial city of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico! I have a passion for all things Latina, Nature and female iconography–which show up often in the pieces that I create. I love to make contemporary shrines as a way to connect with my own history and the world around me. Photography is also a passion, and I include many of my photos in my mixed media and encaustic works. I travel to Mexico often to find my creative “soulscape”, fill my “well” and create works of art.
I currently teach custom private and group encaustic & mixed media workshops at: ArtWorks (Edmonds, WA), JonesMoore Studios (Leavenworth, WA), Turquoise Sky Studio (San Miguel de Allende, Mexico). For more information about scheduling a custom, small group workshop, contact me here: [email protected]
