It all started in the summer of 2007 at a very special event, the Rose Weekend in Hotel Royal on Lake Leman. This place felt almost like a second home for me. It was great to come to Evian from organised and structured life in Zurich that ran like a Swiss watch to a free-flowing and more relaxed environment.
The 'Rose Weekend' was the ultimate celebration of French artisans. I met many incredible women and men who dedicate their lives to creating something exceptional and unique with purpose. This is where I met the legendary Jean-Claude Ellena, a visionary in the world of perfume. The 'Rose Weekend' inspired me to begin my own perfume project which I had been thinking about for a long time. My background as a chemist and a scientist, my love of art and music (I played violin from the age of six), my passion for perfume, the entrepreneurial spirit that I inherited from my mother, and the help and encouragement from my family. All of this laid the foundation for creating my perfume brand. After a couple of years of research, meetings, and sharing ideas with specialists, ‘Parfum de Sentiment’ was born.
My fragrances were created in Grasse, the perfume capital of the world, using the most precious and natural ingredients to celebrate the happiest moments of life.
Initially, it was just going to be a limited edition for family and friends but the feedback was amazing and very positive. People began to ask where they could buy it.
I believe we all have these collective memories of smell that can take us back to special moments in our life whether that be our mothers' scent or the first fragrance given to us by a loved one.
‘Parfum de Sentiment’ holds a very personal story.
The name of one of the perfumes is ‘I am happy in my heart’. My daughter said those words to me when she was just a young girl. I decided to name the perfume ‘I am happy in my heart’ because, through struggle and pain, she managed to find joy and happiness. I named the other fragrance ‘Le puissance de l’amour’, the power of love, which keeps us grounded and can turn around even the darkest moments in our life.
In 2018, ‘Parfum de Sentiment’ was presented to the public for the first time in Zurich, and later in Geneva and in Monaco.
‘Parfum de Sentiment’ works in close collaboration with Galimard, the oldest perfumery in Grasse dating back to 1747, making it one of the oldest perfumeries in the world.
The brand is continuing to grow. We are working on bespoke packaging with renowned UK designers and establishing links with a charity that will help to empower young women in art and music and allow them to have the access to the right education and open up doors and opportunities for women to become independent and to pursue their passions.
