Aviation Basic Officer Leadership Course students learn more about history and materiel from Billy Croslow, USAACE command historian, during a walk-through at the Training Support Facility.

"What I've also tried to do is show you the way your predecessors have faced a difficult problem, what they might have done to solve it, and how that links to a problem you will face in your own careers," Croslow said. "They will train you in the technical stuff. What they can't teach you is that sort of courage, the willingness to make decisions and take risks. All of those things, you have to have brought that to the table; that can't be taught."

Effective Immediately: The US Army has determined it will eliminate approximately 346 hours of Distributed Learning Courses for Officers and NCOs.
Distributed Learning Courses (DLC) will no longer be required to attend resident Basic Leader Course (BLC), Advanced Leader Course (ALC), Senior Leader Course (SLC), Master Leader Course (MLC), and the Sergeants Major Course (SMC).
