A wealth of love in the form of Christmas cards I opened @ 1am my first night back in LA. I love you all❤️

My heart is in PGH, my Spirit's in LA... that cheap, yellow plane landed @ midnight last night, and I felt like I awoke from a snowy, nostalgic dream in my cramped window seat. My trip was chock-full of friends and family who filled my soul-tank back up to the brim. You guys make up the walls of my life's house, a place I feel supported and cherished. Now it's my turn to start building back that "support beam".

What did you do when the clock struck midnight on New Year's? I really wanted to be outside. I left a loving family's (not mine) party to stand in the middle of a wet, empty street. After I listened to a party in the distance countdown the final seconds, I accidently tipped a disgusting Jello shot of watery champagne and sugary sprinkles down my dress. Then I listened to the rest of the houses countdown the actual final seconds (the one house just had to be first, I guess). It was a perfect indie comedy scene. It was a moment of solitude and solace and a quintessential example of moments I need to take this year as I step back to just watch and listen. I'm not exactly sure yet how to find my version of inner peace, that support beam, but it is only January.

2024 will be about widening that genuine smile. This year was a rollercoaster of highs and lows, but in the new year, I'll be searching for or building the tools of inner peace so that even when those highs aren't right around the corner, I can survive the storms.

I already have new friends and big plans to look forward to in January and February, but I'm going to prioritize getting to know that deep inner voice that I keep only crossing paths with when I'm rushing around on the outside.

I'm somebody who has a lot of fear that doesn't actually result in inaction: I've always been too afraid to stop. In 2024, amongst the rollercoaster peaks, I'm going to take some intentional moments to sit on the bench outside the Potato Patch and watch, breathe & rest.

You'll be seeing my face enough during Burying Baby's run, so let me take a moment extol the artists & craftsman behind this moving shorty. has been running our sets since before I even met her, working with Benn on his earliest Edinboro projects: from Galatea to Baby, she facilitates us to make our day everytime. 's vision is responsible for the remarkable frames you're going to be seeing very soon. His eye for depth and focus made this movie the gaussian dream it is with the help of .paluh who has been at the helm of the camera for Benn in recent years, making world-touring 48 hour winners.

traveled from NYC to provide her makeup talents to help me convey the look of a sleepless Mama experiencing the loss of a lifetime while *ttothemaxproductions mastered the light in an open field. .nicholson was the first person I saw that day as he ushered every crew member to set and kept the day running smoothly as became the extra hand for every department whenever help was needed. ! He was the lens and camera aficionado we were so grateful to have graced us with his knowledge and resources while provided expert audio capture and a fun mood for such a serious set. You don't see in any of our photos as he was the artist behind the scenes, capturing these beautiful moments for us forever.

was the heartbeat of this story: while my character expressed extreme pain and loss, Curtis was the embodiment of compassion and healing to balance this tale of grief. And then there's my creative partner of half a dozen years. I gave him 4 pages of a caracature of trauma, and he made an endearing, gorgeous and realistic movie that I hope everyone will enjoy when it comes to a city near you. I love you all and am eternally grateful for the work and love you gave to "Baby": here's to a 2024 of growth & peace.

I missed my flight home today.
I wasted $1,000 in travel costs, and... it was all my fault.
I was confidently running behind, not even nervous on the Lyft ride, then I was turned away at the luggage counter by 2 bag ladies who were incredulous that I even thought I could make the plane.

This year has been a long and heart-squeezing drone of THAT feeling. I've dug up personal lows and felt more self-doubt than I thought was even possible for my personality. But getting into my favorite film festival with a film I wrote half a dozen years ago and produced with my career-long creative partner this Sept. with our amazing cast & crew certainly feels like a ladder up.

I have a wordy, bridesmaid's-speech-worth of things to say about this film, the experience and what it means to be going back to ARFF, but I have plenty of other announcements (and gorgeous stills/BTS shots) for posts to come.

THANK YOU to , , the endlessly talented "Burying Baby" crew, , and any/every friend, family member & follower who read 4 paras of an IG post or offered encouraging emojis and thoughts the whole time I've been chasing this life. I hope that I can continue to do that for the people around me and pass on your magical motivation.
