Your passwords are the most usual way to prove your identity when using websites, email accounts, your computer itself and your mobile phone. The use of strong passwords is therefore essential in order to protect your security and identity. The best security in the world is useless if a malicious person has a legitimate user name and password.
Here some exemples of passwords you should avoid using:
- Your username, actual name or business name.
- Family members’ or pets’ names.
- Your or family birthdays.
- Favourite football or F1 team or other words easy to work out with a little background knowledge.
- The word ‘password’.
- Numerical sequences.
Using strong and random password will allow you to navigate safely in the internet and lower the risks of being hacked.

Internet is developing really fast and it’s important to understand the risks and to pay attention to everything you do online in order to guarantee safety.

We’re sure you already heard about cookies in the internet, but do you know what are they, what are they for and how do they work?
ℹ️ Cookies are messages that web servers pass to your web browser when you visit websites. They are most commonly used to track website activity. When you visit some sites, the server gives you a cookie that acts as your identification card. Upon each return visit to that site, your browser passes that cookie back to the server. In this way, a web server can gather information about which web pages are used the most, and which pages are gathering the most repeat hits.
Here some exemples of cookies:
✔️ online shopping: Online stores often use cookies that record any personal information you enter, as well as any items in your electronic shopping cart, so that you don't need to re-enter this information each time you visit the site.
✔️ personalised web pages: When you select preferences at a site that uses this option, the server places the information in a cookie. When you return, the server uses the information in the cookie to create a customised page for you.

🛡 Security concerns
Accepting a cookie does not give a server access to your computer or any of your personal information (except for any information that you may have purposely given, as with online shopping). Also, it is not possible to execute code from a cookie, and not possible to use a cookie to deliver a virus.
