I went to Tower Grove Park to scout out places that would be good to photograph my memorial suncatchers. We are so lucky to have such beautiful parks in our city! I love how the first photo somehow captured rainbows 🌈 from the sun and my iPhone camera. 😍 I love nature and feeling at peace in the trees. 🌳 ☮️

Have you or someone you know lost a pet? Join our Veterinary Social Work Team virtually on Thursday, April 11 at 6p in honoring the grief you may feel for your beloved companion animal(s). The goal is for participants to express their grief through a positive, carefully structured writing experience to help process your loss.

This event is provided at no charge. Please register at https://rb.gy/gtrlew no later than Wednesday, April 10. Adults 18 and over are welcome to participate.

Grieving the loss of our beloved companions can be difficult and confusing. There is certainly not a one-size-fits-all approach to grief. But for many of us, the support from community can be a helpful tool on our healing journey.

Remember the chandelier I found in my neighbor’s trash? Her son recently had passed away so I made her this memorial sun catcher from one of the prisms as a surprise gift. When she opened the gift she was just so surprised,thankful, and very touched. I think it turned out great and I was able to find a motorcycle charm- since Frank loved to ride!

Yesterday on a walk with my pups I saw this gem in my neighbor’s trash pile behind a locked gate. So I did what any sane person would have- shouted into the building’s open window until someone came then asked for permission to take it. I feel like I won the lottery! 🤩🤣 💎 Spent about an hour removing and cleaning crystals from the chandelier. Got 50 teardrop crystals and over 30 strands! 🎉 My neighbor, who was throwing this out, recently lost her son in a motorcycle accident. I’m going to surprise her and make a special memorial crystal with her own chandelier crystals. 💜
